In my past relationship, I would always set clothes out for my slave to wear. I've noticed in some posts, other slaves put out clothes for their Masters to wear. Does the slave choose the outfit?

How many slaves have their outfits chosen for them? What is usually prescribed to wear? How many slaves choose their Masters clothing for them as an act of service?

I set out Masters work clothes for Him..it's a uniform so not hard to go wrong on that. For general clothes usually will do same as this is a part of training phase for me of "learning Master". If i choose wrong, He simply tells me so..trys to give me a insight as to why if there is any, and i bounce off to get what He does want.

I generally pick out what i'm wearing for myself though at times Master will say likes or prefers i dress this way for whatever occassion. If it's something He doesn't approve of then again..i bounce off and fix it.

Status: offline 		Is this a gorean question? I'm answering from a non-gorean perspective.

In my entire social circle, I'm pretty much known as the one with the fashion know-how. I enjoy it, I research it, I get off on it. Occasionally the Owner will give me guidelines of how he wants me dressed and then expects me to fill in the details. Occasionally the Owner will ask me for advice on what he wears but he has a general good sense of style already. The majority of the time, he says nothing and is amused by the costume creations I come up with.

And since we don't live together, picking clothes out for eachother everyday would be tedious and impractical at best. Plus, I don't know if anyone would have the guts to really get to know what's in my closet as well as I do.

I find when doms try and control clothes directly, they usually don't do as good a job as the subs do on their own. There are of course exceptions.

In the end it comes down to practicality and preference, as always.

My Master wears a work uniform, basically. So regardless of what I choose its all the same thing. As for other times, if he tells me to go fetch him a shirt and he doesn't like the shirt I fetch another. I have a pretty good idea by now what he prefers to wear for what occasions, however.

For my clothes, when Im home with him and we're alone there is definitely minimal clothing involved. Normally lingerie of some kind as that is his preference (slip style pieces, mostly lace, without a nether closure). When he go out he tells me the style of dress he wishes (formal, semi formal, semi dressy, relaxed). If he decides he doesn't like what I've picked out then I'm sent to change again.

More often than not we're jeans kind of people outside the house. It's comfortable and if we're going to the strip there is way too much walking involved for me to wear high heels. So for basic daily wear for grocery shopping or the occasional dinner and a movie it's normally jeans and t-shirts. For anything else my outfits vary widely.

Status: offline 		i am not Gorean, but for me and my Master we choose our own clothingm though he needs a bit of help somtimes as he is the kind of person that thinks it is ok to wear jog shohs to a wedding. i usualy dress in slightly gothic or new age inspiered clothing and he seam to like it.

My Master picks his own clothing out. He often gives me a color to coordinate my attire in or a theme like total prude, little girl, hot office girl, southern belle with slut underneith etc...
In the six months he's blessed me by being my Master he's only went through my closet and picked a specific outfit once. He even bought shoes to match it for me to wear. It was to take me to a party and meet his kinky friends.
I like being told what type of attire would turn him on the most. When I tell him that he tells me he prefers no clothing to any attire out there.

Master MojoRisin,

Kinda the same here as the other girls.. If Master could he would live in tshirts and jeans. His work attire is business casual so I match all the stuff and lay it out, he has been known to veto my choice, in which case I go to plan B. Eventually we find something that he likes :)

My clothing is not laid out for me, however, his preference is known. Workdays I am on my own and cleaning toilets doesn't require a teddy *winks* When he is home, his choice is something lacey and feminine..the same when we attend theatre or go out for dinner. Master and myself are old hippies, he enjoys it immensly when women dress as they did in the sixties...no bras, no panties and unashamed. *smiles*

Status: offline 		While I do not choose his clothing I iron everything and arrange it in the closet in an organized fashion. I loooovvee getting to iron all of his clothing and hanging it with perfect creases on the hangars. Also while he is in the shower I lay out his socks, boxers, undershirt and shoes.

As for me, when we are alone I am nude. Otherwise I am dressed appropriately for the occasion, sometimes he chooses my outfit for the day, otherwise I dress in a fashion that he will find pleasing.

Status: offline 		I lay my Master's clothes out during the week, but I don't "pick" them ... as he put it, if he didn't like the clothes available for him to wear, he wouldn't have bought them to begin with :)

he doesn't pick my clothes out normally, he either prefers me naked or using my judgement as to what looks pretty for when he gets home from work. having said that, I'm always asking him if the clothes I've picked out look pretty, and if he has suggestions, I change :)

Status: offline 		I set my master's clothes out during the work week as they are scrubs, not a lot from which to choose. For other occasions, I ask him what he wants to wear, jeans, khakis, etc, then lay his clothes out for inspection, and ask him if what I've picked out is acceptable.
As for my clothing, I have his preferences and standards from which to choose for week days. If we are going out, I often choose a couple outfits and ask him which he prefers.

It's not hard since He wears BDU's and Boots. *chucklez*

I will have to say though, the best part of the day is when He gets home. The ceremony is: "GET ME out of these clothes pet" and i get to do just that! I have found dressing and undressing Him to be a service to Him that i can only describe in words as it makes my soul jump for joy.

When He is out of those, He usually just motions to me to get shorts and a t-shirt. Unless He wants something specific, i choose.

As for me around the house....He prefers: collar - cuffs - butt ass nekkid..or...t-shirt....or...my tigger blanket (don't ask) *chucklez*

I've given canisminor a short list of pre-approved outfits that she can choose from when she isn't instructed specifically about what clothes to wear. The list is designed to force her to wear something flattering to her, as this seems to lift her spirits a bit as well as being pleasing to me. But I don't lay out clothes for her, and she doesn't typically choose or lay out clothes for me.

My master dresses business casual during the week, I am responsible for taking and picking up his clothes from the dry cleaners, and making sure he has 5 outfits that "go" together. I often lay out his cothes prior to showering him. laying out his clothes consists of making sure his belt, and socks are layed out near his pants. and his wallet, badge, cell phone, check book, and anyother items he may need during the day are where he can grab them as he is going out the door.

Master does not choose what i wear, tho he does approve it. I am usually pulled to him and stood before him and he spins me around to get a good look. then it's a swift swat on the bottom to let me know he approves.


In both of these instances, if i choose something that does not "go" i am simply told so, and i go to choose something else.

Status: offline 		I can not stand picking out a girls clothes any more and have tried to design ways to avoid that ridiculous conversation "But the blouse is in the laundry". I am still failing. (the night of modeling the 50 outfits in that closet so that each could be photographed and catalogued was worthless.) To top it off im incredibly picky about a girls looks and like something one day I hated the day before. I am this close to throwing almost 200 pounds of clothing into the good will. If I could just get it down to 7 outfits plus the professional clothes and the workout cclothes I'd be just that little bit closer to Nirvana.

And no one dresses me. Are you kidding? And my clothes better be perfectly clean and pressed or its going to be a bad moment.

This may be a bit off topic as to the specific question the OP asked. But i feel it is worth bringing this up.

Why does a Master have his slave lay out his clothes?

My master is perfectly capable of choosing his own wardrobe, he probably does it better than i do. So then why? and in respect to you Master Alex.. why do not *not* have your slave lay out your clothes?

girls, ...how does it make you feel when you are sorting through the closet and gently fingering your masters shirts, and pants...? Why is it that a small warm smile graces your lips as you find just the right thing that will....(inspire the office sluts to...)

oops.. no no... i mean make your master look and feel ..like your master!

for me, it makes me sooo glad to be of service, part of the way my master trains me is that the small things are just as important as the big ones.

i love him for allowing me to serve him this way.

Oh and as far as the 'office sluts'... *laughs* Fabric Softener! lots of it! (haha) ask if you dont know what i mean...

Status: offline 		As someone who LOVES making people over fashion wise and picking through their wardrobe, it really lets me use my talents well, it lets me into a persons intimate world of their closet, and it shows a vulnerability and closeness between us, allowing me to make some judgements about their expression to the world.

And, as was so well said on Clueless "It gives her a sense of control in an otherwise chaotic world"

Status: offline 		I make sure that Master's clothing is clean and ironed and put away where he can find it, but I don't lay it out for him.

He doesn't dictate what I wear during the working week unless he feels that he would like me to wear a skirt or low cut top one day. However, at weekends he normally has a say in what I wear. The first words he said to me this morning when we woke up were "Whare are you going to wear for me today?" meaning "I want you to wear something a bit sexy".
