Due to a bad sense of humour and seeing this is something that pops up regularly I thought maybe it is time to bring it up again, to see what falls out of the tree if you shake it.

Greetings Mistress Cherylmazana,

One would have to define the qualities that make a person a slave to see if 'all' females possess it.

i have seen 'a desire to serve' put as a slavish quality but that begs the question 'serve who?'. If one has a desire to serve everyone, i would think that person was a slave. If they desire to serve no one, or only one specific person (man) who brings it out of them, then perhaps not.

Can we actually define what makes a woman a Free Woman? A determination to be only minimally submissive to the Men around her? A fierce sense of independence that makes her dependant on no one?

Is it a woman's actions or her emotions that determines which she is?

Can anyone really speak for another? It would be audacious for me to suggest that a Free Woman has a slave hidden away inside her. i know that inside me is a Free Woman that i must keep firmly in check lest i be insubordinate and mouthy. *sheepish smile*

Hello,

Like you Cheryl, I've heard this often - usually from the "Gor hear me Roar" type, those are the men that get off line suddenly, talk quietly into a phone because.. well wifey might find out! The men I know and have associated with and call Gorean men enjoy the company of free women and know the difference between the two. And are wise enough to bring out the natural state of each person.

Is there an echo in here? I just mentioned this exact topic in another thread.

The Gorean does not believe that all women are slaves. He believes that there are two kinds of women: slaves and slaves.

Or, to put it another way, there are two kinds of women: Those who are slaves and those who are not yet slaves.

Or, to put it yet another way, there are two kinds of women: Those who are already slaves and those whom no Gorean man has yet chosen to enslave.

This pithy little quip is intended to demonstrate that all women possess the capacity to become excellent slaves. That presupposes that there are Gorean men who possess sufficient skills at mastery who wish to invest the time necessary to bring that to fruition.

It does not by any means imply that any woman can become the slave to any man, and most especially not to some pimply-faced wanna-be one-handed-typist.

It does not by any means imply that all women should be slaves. It merely describes the basic female nature from a Gorean point of view and suggests that, in the proper environment and under the proper mastery, that nature could be brought to the fore.

Some women fit more comfortably into the role of a Free Woman, and the Gorean, recognizing that, chooses not to enslave them. Free Women are a necessary and important part of Gorean society, and Gorean men exalt them and protect them, often fiercely. But both sexes understand by what a thin thread that freedom hangs. Gorean Free Women do not labor under the illusion that "it can't happen to ME!" Even more ridiculous to a Gorean Free Woman is the idea that "*I* cannot be mastered." They know full well that a mere capture loop is all it would take to change their situation and they are never unprepared to deal with that.

Simple, really.

i'd have to say that's true. everyone is both potential slave and potential master in my opinion... what i mean is that everyone has the ability to lead and the ability to follow, inside everyone is slave and free person and master, and i'd even say everyone has male and female inside them as well. it's just that there is no way to move forward being everything at once, so every person is born with one thing stronger than the others, one thing that they most enjoy being and that they need to be in order to live a fullfilled life.

that being said, although i like science fiction, this attitude of male supremecy over women is what turns me off of gor... the idea that ANY gender is supreme and that we could survive in a world without strong female and male energies is one i find stupid coming from men or women and when i hear it from any Dominant i kind of nod and smile.

He never tells me what to do because he trusts that I already know....
He never disagrees with my opinion about what is best for me and mine...
He is so god damned sexy I forget he is a he....
He never demands sex because he feels it is highly overrated.....stimulating conversation is far better...
He brings me sexy women to keep for my very own and would never consider sharing.....
He is away from home ALOT.....
Only comes home when he is able to act like a rational, calm, sensible, human being....
He knows it is quite masterly to be employed, healthy, well groomed, always sober, celibate

, assist in cleaning the house, picks up after himself, never complains about the animals and their hair, never tells me how to manage my animals because I know best.........................

He............Does not exist!!!

I really do like men, even love a few. But, on the whole, they just are not for me.

While I'm sure Zeb will enjoy the responses he receives to his prodding, I must interject the following. In fairness I would say that you are welcome to attempt this with an uncensored and lawless setting antime you wish. Of course you should be prepared to accept any out come that might transpire. In only this arena could we truly achieve the most true and natural result.

I took an interesting word in your post and highlighted it. I find it a rather pretentious word and one that leaves the person listening to think the one speaking finds themselves superior. Interesting that you would act this way as you are chastising others for just such an act.

You see, I'd be willing to wager that in your brief and not so detailed study of Gorean philosophy you are at best ignorant to the ideals beyond the superficial opinions you have gathered in a brief summary of the online context. Stick around and read into the ideas versus attacking a statement you feel might be infringing on some predisposed notion that you are entitled absolutely anything you want, as a woman.
