Greetings..~smiles~

Please let me say this right off the top: This is in no way meant to turn into a Anything vs Anything topic as there are enough of those already.

If the Gorean books had not come into existence..What do real life Goreans feel they would call, label, or model themselves as with BDSM present as is today?

No idea. The Gor books just coalesce a lot of classical culture and philosophy anyway, and so I probably would still identify with much of it. I just wouldn't have a handy label to refer to it by.

Hello There,
From what I've read about gorean concepts so far I would venture to say old fashioned men with integrity and structure in their homes would be something to call a gorean Master if there were no gor or BDSM terms.

interesting question starshined..if the books hadnt come into existenc I feel that I would have classified myself with being Old Guard....I still adopt all of the ways that they laid out long ago that used to be accepted as Doctrine among the leather folk............but things change with time and I do look to keep myself in the past ideals that the Old Guard had laid out...it works for me and the Goreans are about honor......integrity.......the ways things should be before attempting to try and live this as a lifestyle.....this tends to bring out the best in all people when you mix more than merely a sexual favor into the lifestyle...lets face facts most men want a slut in the bedroom and a lady in the streets............. :)

It is interesting that none would remain to identify themselves as Master or slave. These terms have been in use and were the normal since the earliest of recorded writings.
