Greetings Everyone,
I have a Ren Fest costume suitable for a mild ale wench or
traditional milk maid. This thing was very nicely hand made by my
mommy and fastens with draw strings so it will easily fit a size 28-
32, and larger depending on your frame. I've lost a little weight
since it was made and can no longer wear it. It has been worn to 3
Ren Fests and that is it. It consists of 3 layers of skirting,
white, tan and light blue cottons worn with the inner skirt long, the
secondary skirt with tie-ups inside so it can be bunched up from the
bottom and the underskirt shows, and the top skirt as an apron to
tuck into the waist lines and reveal the other two. The top half of
the set has a shift, a basic white cotton shirt with bell sleeves and
a wide-open neckline made to be worn either very low in the front or
off the sholder (or both!), and a light blue stay..or external corset
that goes over it. The stay is made of a very sturdy brocade-woven
dusty light blue, includes plastic boning so it can be hand washed
and hung dry. It is vest style - so it has shoulder straps and laces
up the front. This makes it infinately easier to get into yourself,
more historically realistic, and if you are wearing it out somewhere
you can lace it with slack to drive comfortably then suck it in and
lace it tight when you arrive. The cleavage is quite lovely, and it
has a little frilly bit at the bottom. You will absolutely not have
to wear a bra with this stay. If you are interested in this outfit,
