[Holding sides and laughing] Oh, boy, are you likely to "go to school."

Seriously, there are a lot of ways to deal with Gor. Read the posts and listen to the tones. When you find a few posters whose ideas resonate with what you want to do, email them directly and ask for help. As with any group, there are good people, OK folks and just plain idiots. We have a pretty good representation of all three groups here. I suspect you'll be able to tell the difference.

well said John....maybe this guy should try and procure some of the books and read them.....paying attention to the boards is a great idea as you stated.......

Steve "we dont play".......scene or anything else you can come up with to make this a part time affair

The Gorean Lifestyle is just that, it is a lifestyle we live 24/7 and not play at in our spare time. Firstly you need to read this forum in depth, then secondly, you need to read at least some of the Gor books, finally you need to read the forums again. After this you should be ready to fire off a heap of questions about what we do and what we are. We dont play Gor, we live it! (In a suitably adapted format).

This is something that requires a lot of study and reflection to do.

It's not some half assed thing where you pick up a toy and have at it.

Education is the key-go get yourself some.

(Here is a good place to start for cheap tho,try googling "gorean scrolls". Just beware,a lot of what you will find has typos or is not exactly like the books-but it's better than nothing Steve.)

Steve,

It was a rebuke or do I find anything disinteresting about you...careful with the words you choose to write it directly reflects the way you may or may not view a lifestyle...........I did however give you some useful information as well as others that have posted here in this forum........playing isnt in our vocabulary here.......playing or sceneing is used widely in BDSM not in the Gorean context of how things are done here........you asked if you need to goto school forst before you played.....like I said in the above we dont play.....to educate yourself about this lifestyle by reading the books or this forum among other Master's that post here frequently can be quite educating....Iron Bear, Leonidas, JustaTop and many others have interesting things to speak about and have given me personally alot of insight about myself and what I am.........to listen is to learn......

Greetings winsome40,

Your profile was a little baffling..it states you are a dominant, yet you want a woman to own you with her beauty? Are you looking for a slave, a switch, or a woman to rule over you?

Knowing your path might help in the quest for knowledge :)

Best of wishes,

lisa{Sea's}

Six, don’t sell yourself short man. You tell it as it is for you; you are articulate and keep to the point and you know what you are talking about. If you put your boot in it, you fix it. What more can any one ask of any Gorean Free Man?

I think the Free Men here showed just what a Man of
questionable status in a Alternate Lifestyle can expect of
Gor online or in real life applications. When comming
to Gor you really need to know where you stand within yourself in your
perceived personna unlike BDSM or D/s where the lines can become a
bit blurred with acceptance. Are you a Dom, Switch, Man confused about
what these Alternate Lifestyles are all about or just a dick trying to find
a hole to enter into who knows but for the beginner here are a few
sites to get your juices flowing into what is
G O R and then after reading
why not make a small investment into aquiring the actuall books and

SUPPORT THE WRITER a bit.........

And for the record John I think Your Cute when Your sides giggle whilst laughing.
I also think that I fit into all these catagories mentioned:

good people, OK folks and just plain idiots.

Depending on what side of the bed I wake up on.

Tal Dread,

Do you mean that you don't have a circular bed so there are no sides to wake up on in the mornings?

Hi, i'm new to Gor. can i play? or do i need to go to school first? Steve

Hello Sir,
Yes, you need to school yourself to be able to even play the part of a Gorean Master. It would be better if you trained to become one for real, but if it's only half hearted you can't be real. Much like pinnochio you can only be a real man of Gor if you were born a certain way.
What way is that you say? Well here's the list of lessons I've found you need to understand.
1-Honor Your Word
2-Have integrity
3-Be diciplined enough to maintain control in a sane household
4-Become a Master in the job field you excell in and take pride in your work
5-Read the Books of Gor and use the structures of their lives in your own daily life.
6-Don't be such a smart ass in the boards as if you are no one will take you seriously.

Not the whole concept, but a place to start,
sub suzanne

cool, I just found this place and it seems to be a good place, unlike many "Gor" places on line. Not to say bad things about any of them, they are just not for me. I'm not an online type person, though I do enjoy some online time, as does my slave. I will be back and will take part if I can figure out exactly how too. LOL

I used to have a link to it and I hope the thing is on the FAQ's but search for your exact question and you will find out that what you said is what is true. Does anyone know if it is on the FAQs or should I just search for the answer?

it simply means that you have not posted on the message boards. As you post more you will get interesting new descriptive words under your name.
