Greeetings,

There is a product out called "Nioxn" (think that is how it's spelled) you have to buy it at a beauty shop, or some type of store like that. Basically it's for people with hair loss problems, but it's amazing on helping hair grow. After my divorce i bought some.. had very short hair, and in 3 months my hair was past my shoulders almost. It is very expensive though, but the 3 bottles lasts about 3 months. One is a shampoo, then the conditioner and treatment you use every other day (if you use the conditioner, don't use the treatment vice versa) smells awesome too. But like i said spendy.. like 50 bucks for all 3 bottles. Worth it? YES! YES! Yes! would buy it again in a heartbeat.. thing is, lol i can't afford it right now or i'd be using it too!!!

good luck

syn~SD~

Hello edana,
There's a product in a pink bottle called Pink Light Oil. It looks like suntan lotion. It's an ethnic hair product, but it works great. You just put like a dime sized amount in your hand, rub your hands together and then pet it into your damp hair and ends. It helps better than most products I tried before to reduce breakage.
Also you should only wash your hair with shampoo every third day. You can still rinse it with water in the shower, but no shampoo. Washing your hair every day actually strips out the essential oils your hair needs to be healthy.
Don't worry about the hair in your brush too much. I shed like a dog. I've shed lot's of hair my whole life and yet my hair is still thick. Sometimes the change in seasons makes it worse. As long as you don't have bald spots don't worry too much.
Good luck,
sub suzanne

Also, be sure to maintain your ends. a quick ends trim every few months keeps things neat, straight, cuts off split and broken ends which really contribute to tangling.

I also recommend tying your hair back at night if that's an option.
