I walk up two flights of stairs to get to my workplace every day.  I think a slaver could easily pick out the slave girls by following women up a set of stairs.  If you are a few steps behind a woman, her butt is pretty much at your eye level, and its obvious (if you're paying attention) that most of them are aware of that when a man is following them.

If you observe, you'll see women in roughly three categories.  There are those who walk like the tin-man, holding their ass still through sheer force of will.  There are others who don't really do anything that they wouldn't do if a man weren't following.  If they normally walk with all the grace of a holstein, they'll do just that.  If they have a bit more grace to them, they'll display that as well.  They don't really alter their walk because a man might be looking.

There is a third category, I'd say roughly the same size as the other two, that will rise up on her toes, arch her back a bit, and put on a little show for you.  I don't think it has anything to do with any sexual interest they may have in me personally, they just know that a man's eyes are on them, and they just plain want to be found pleasing.  If they can provide a little eye candy to start a man's day, they will.

It's interesting what you can observe about inate nature, if you just open your eyes and pay attention.

Tal Leonidas,

Try sitting at the food court in a mall........

I like the Ferris Bueller outlook, sometimes (all the time) you just have to take a good look around yourself, life moves pretty fast.

It may not be the soul  domain of Goreans to bare witness to life's finer details, but I would hope eyeing the beauty of moments like you discribe is more than obvious, even if the girl herself doesn't understand her own actions. In fact I even revell deeper in that premise...lol....The posibility of exposing her own nature to her is often quite pleasing itself.

Tal Everyone,

LOL LOL LOL this is good.. Tavares and I used to sit in the truck and watch people walking across the parking lots and other places we found ourselves at. Ya know you are absolutely right, women walk just a few ways. Men on the other hand do it too.

I will try to explain the weenie walk as I have named it. A man walks with his feet out, his knees are bending right but not extending his stance much, his belly is out, shoulders back and his head is slightly forward, he then takes another step and his hips sorta wiggle back and forth a bit, so his uhmmm well it moves to become more comfortable to walk, not because of the size, but the size of his belly.. LOL

Another man walk is the one where they are in a hurry, they step quickly, their rear end slightly moving up and down as they hurry off to whatever they are doing, but their body says it all, they throw the shoulders back, head high, something is always in their hand if not both. Eyes are fixated on the space directly ahead of them, they are not in the least concerned with anything around them, just the destination.

Great thread.. lol I love it

I wish you well,

Terrah

The way I walk up the stairs is directly impacted by my calculation of the odds of a pinch or smack on my rump by the man behind me.

There are some perks to living with Himself in a three story house.

lol... this reminds me of all the times my skirt was flipped up going up the flight of stairs to Master's appartment.    The no-pantie rule usually had me practically running up the stairs to avoid being bare-assed.   I think he considered it part of my "cardio..."  mean man! *winks

You know, I do exactly that and never gave it a conscious thought.  There is a long staircase at my gym and when there's a man behind me, I pop up on the balls of my feet and give it a little wiggle.  Doesn't matter if the man's a hardbody gym rat, or grandpa getting some exercise after a bypass.  I'm an equal opportunity wiggler.

Tal Leonidas,

This is indeed true. I was having dinner with a collegue at a bar and grill the other evening, and I commented that you can also tell by how close you stand to a female when you speak to them. I do not mean a female you meet in a bar, but the waittress, hostess or what have you. I tend to take a deep breath through my nostrils when I am close to a female, as I can pick up on their pheromones consciously sometimes, and that natural act often evokes certain responses from the right females.

Live well,
Orion

I don't deal much with stairs, so feel a bit cheated there...however I do spend much time watching people when the truck is sitting still. And while the ass may not be right at eye level, they still seem to know who is or isn't watching...
A favorite pastime of mine is in the restaurant tho...looking at females...how long does it take them to look away when gazes meet...you have those who quickly look away when you meet their eyes...and get nervous if you keep looking (those are my personal favorite...the vulnerability factor and all), those who pretend you aren't looking and they don't see you, and those lovelies that know you are looking and step up the show because you are...lol

Tal Leonidas,

In the past I've noted the same behaviors but drew a slightly different conclusion. I think they do it to prove they can still attract mens attention. (Also there is zero intent to go beyond that)

Tal ya'll,

I have read your OP and then those subsequently commenting. You spoke initially of stairs and female awareness of a man's eyes following her.

I wondered if you would consider answering some follow-up questions:

a) Do you believe that women who fall into the wiggle category tend to have an attitude of arrogance like "Look but neener neener, you can't touch..." or more an attitude of inner hunger saying "I wish my feminine side would express to you my need..."?

b) Are there other signals you see regularly on the streets so to speak? Other than wiggling on stairs, where do you notice females trying to attain attention subtley or not so subtley?

c) As a Gorean judge of character, would you likely categorize the wigglers into sub/slave pleasers, but the women who work to deter attention on the same stairs fall into what Goreans would call free women or even anti-men types like panthera and taluna?

Thank you for an interesting approach to processing and understanding gender attributes. It's fascinating to me.

K

"....equal opportunity wiggler."  Good one,  Roselauree!

i couldn't agree more - i can't help but wiggle a little more when male eyes are looking (but, i still blush - go figure)

Wishing you all well,
sula

I don't think it matters what they think they're doing.  An attitude of arrogance like that is more frustrating to them than it is to me.  At the end of the day, they're still wiggling their ass so that I'll look, and, presumably, like what I see.  Their mind is on where my eyes are, rather than the meeting they're headed to, in other words.  Whatever framework of denials they want to put around that so that they aren't shocked at their own behavior is fine with me, and doesn't really matter much.

Of course.  I could easily post a thread about it every day.  Take for example the pretty brunette who runs by my front door every morning in an outfit far more form-fitting and revealing than it needs to be for any legimate athletic purpose.  Unlike other women who run in what looks like the first thing they found in the hamper, this particular girl obviously wants to be seen, and found pleasing.

Some of them would.  There is a widely held view among modern women that being of sexual interest and being worthy of professional respect aren't compatible with each other.  Some of these women truly value being respected professionally more.  Others have just been taught to think they should.  Both work to minimize the former to achieve the latter.  There is probably some subset of them who would like to wiggle, and are ashamed of themselves because of it.  Still others steadfastly refuse to be pleasing to men for reasons of their own, I'm sure.

Greetings

I am not a Gorean, however I find this question and line of thought very interesting. Especially this last:

I don’t consciously change my walk or demeanor, unless I’m aware I’m being looked at. I’ve always had trouble with it. I don’t believe that it is due to an inner conflict between professional respect and being attractive or pleasing—I very much enjoy being pleasing—and it’s most certainly not because of an anti-men attitude. Nope! I’m a very sexual person, but I just have always been uncomfortable being ogled. I have dreaded being followed around the grocery store, or hooted at on the street. I take care of myself and dress with care, but I get embarrassed and flustered.

I would likely let him pass me…

So you fall into the middle group, generally, unless the man is so obviously staring that it starts to make you uncomfortable and embarrassed.  Would you start feeling that way just because he was behind you at all, or would it only be if he was obviously staring, or even make some overt comment?

Ha ha....I never thought much about the way I walk up a flight of stairs but.....you're right. BUT....it depends on who the man is behind me. I would normally fall in category 3 when there is a man behind me. But if the man behind me is giving me that creepy, skin crawly feeling...I definitely quickly become a cross between a category 1 and the Energizer bunny and go up the stairs as quickly as possible with as little movement as possible. When no one is behind me I find that I still tend to fall into the category 3. Walking up stairs with that sway just feels good....kinda sexy.

Greetings,

I agree that it would depend on the man behind me. But then with me, I think I may be a little abnormal because if it
was just "any" man that I noticed looking, I would probably put on a little show, but if it was a Master Leonidas type of man
behind me looking, I would probably do what subtee said, get all flustered and let him pass...then have to sit for a few minutes
just to compose myself again...lol

Well, I kinda hate that it’s the “Holstein” group, but I am in Iowa, so…(Hi Bull!)

This will sound incredibly conceited, but I think I would assume they were looking. They’re men, you know. And Orion's comment:

gave me a shiver. I've wondered if something like this was happening; have asked men if they can sense something about me. (Yes, is the answer.)

~Yes, I am blushing~

Greetings Marvin,

I think sometimes you might want to examine the world around you with a bit more depth. For instance just taking your shallow example here ask one question further. Why would she want to know if she has still got the ability to draw a man's attention.

But to lean in the point of the Ubar's OP; I do believe he was eluding to the fact that many girls do this without being outwardly aware of there actions. As I would cerainly concur with him that evven if the girl is unaware of her natural disposition if a ma n has understanding of such things, he'll see it.

Mooooo...

tee tee, this also works on different levels between diffrent individuals; ever notice how a girl will sit straighter and will fluff her hair for a certain kind of guy.

You know like that internal swoon you feel whenever you think about me; how just that thought makes you brush back your hair, arch your back and push out your breasts....Just like you did right now.
