Angel...one thing i did with my mom when she was undergoing chemo was to alter some of her comfy clothes (she had a chest port) so that there was no exposure during the treatments. A few seams removed from the shoulders and replaced with velcro...things such as that.

good idea. she starts chemo next week from what i understand, so we'll have a better idea of what needs doing.

heh, on a slighly related theme, she's got a bra with a pocket (she doesn't have a prosthetic yet) for her mastectomy. she's supposed to fill it with little pads filled with cotton balls. i told her, hell no, use it for your phone and your ipod and tissues for those times when it all gets too much. that way she can vibrate and make music all in the one place, lol!

Morning, all!

I'm off to the doctor's in a few since I probably have strep like Lumus does.... Yesterday it was Lumus and some one else was at the dentist's, today it's me at the doctor's and Lumus back to the dentist's for some follow-up work.

Believe it or not, Greedy, I did the happy dance when we got the confirmation it was strep. See, the asshole jerk of a doc insisted it was thrush and that the only way adults get thrush is if they are either HIV+, have diabetes or cancer. So he was requesting more testing to see if it was diabetes or cancer since we know Lumus isn't HIV+. Strep is a simple run of antibiotics - end of story. Cancer or diabetes is a completely different story.

Now to get my own drugs and get this PAIN to end....
