sowwy, perse.

i'm picky. and virginally and terminally inexperienced in this arena, so am a bit paranoid to begin with. seems the best doms for me tend to be "over there". seems obvious to my conscious subconscious that i have a few issues with meeting up close and personal. maybe. possibly. you think?

I'm sniffling too.

But it's not because sci's not here. No, it's more like I ran the mower through all manner of pollens yesterday while trying to trim the few tips of the turf that succeeded in growing beyond all that stuff.

There used to be a spot just in front of the Olympic Center where the snow would fall naturally throughout the season and not be disturbed. No one would step on it to crunch it down, no one would add to it by shoveling or blowing snow onto the spot. In other words, it was supposed to be the one area where an accurate count of how much snow had fallen. The residents would see how long it took for the natural accumulation to melt away.

One Independence Day (July 4th) I visited Lake Placid and found a good seven or eight inches at its center still on that spot. I'm sure it was gone by the time the annual three or four day "heat wave" arrived later that month, but still... and it wasn't even a winter full of huge snowfalls that year.

Morning people type critter persons....

And all this complaining about the snow.....

Look, I am planning to invest heavily in the winter sports industry and planning to reverse global warming in order for it to really pay off.....

Now, I figure that in order to do that, I need to get the supervolcano in Indonesia to blow, which would trigger a mini ice age.... which should make it possible to build ski resorts in southern Georgia......

I do have a bit of an evil side....

With all this talk about how we Americans should "buy American," why should you want to outsource the origin of your enterprise to Indonesia? Why not stay within the borders and induce Yellowstone to blow?

Montserrat was still venting when last I saw it in January 2008. It wasn't throwing up ash nor spewing lava, but there was still quite a bit of vapor coming from it. For that matter, I've heard (though, cannot confirm) that a number of small vents have opened on the island of St. Thomas.

Maybe instead of blowing one or two large supervolcanoes, the same effect can be reached with many, many smaller vents and volcanoes pumping?
