Since the other-half has been doing some part-time stuff at home, since he resigned from his job, he is rather enjoying it. In fact, he mentioned the other day that since I am making at least as much as he was at his job, maybe it would not be such a bad idea for him to keep this up. That way I will always be available for any travel with my job and be can be home to watch Butterhead.

Oh HELL's YES! It is expensive and often times costs more than what the second income brings in once all of the expenses are taken into account.

I do plan on enrolling her in a pre-school in a couple of years, but I mean it to be that, a pre-SCHOOL, ya know, with a curriculum.

Not to mention that it's the stay at home mothers who are called whenever there's a delay in the morning or an early dismissal. And we're the ones volunteering in the classroom. And cheering on every game.

Although that's getting tough considering last baseball game was 18-6, the other team. Perhaps commiserating instead of cheering would be the right word.

I just think that it royally sucks that whichever way a female chooses, she is supposed to feel guilty about it. Work, stay-at-home, no children at all, any sex with a male = prostitution, lesbian = cannot find a male, et cetera. . .

Hmmm. . . I guess that this explains why I do not read magazines like Cosmo and such, LOL!

I hope that the Basket-ball team has better luck on their next game!

I do think that it is unfortunate when parents (either gender) miss out on spending daytimes with their UMs. Or when they are treated as an accessory. *sigh*

But, yep, stay-at-home mom's DO a lot of extras that they rarely recieve thanks for. Instead they recieve derision for not having a "real" job. Pbbbbbbbbtttt

Anyone that is interested, here is the Seattle Newspaper story on the Katmai, the fishing vessel that sent the distress call out on Deadliest Catch. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2008306026_webfishingboat24m.html

Now on a related note, I do think that the Wizard's skipper has evidently been exposed to the Holly syndrome, (having dived under boats rigging lifting straps, I knew enough to keep ONE HAND ON THE HULL ABOVE ME) or the cold water temps began to affect him faster than usual for a man in a dry suit.

It may be a good idea to start a "Deadliest Catch" thread for those of us who are fans.....

FYI I have also managed to find the OFFICIAL WEBSITES for the Wizard, North Western, Cornelia Marie and the Time Bandit.....
