Status: offline 		We only do that after the fact so our parents won't worry so much! Logic dictates that we tell our folks a week or two after the fact and you won't get so upset and worried.

Besides, what are they gonna do, while we are healing up after various rodeos or other adventures?  I mean the doctors do all the hard work, and in the case of pro rodeo riders, the buckle bunnies help us forget our aches and pains.....

Seee...this is what you don't understand. Us parents worry anyway. We do. We are worried silly at all times. Now...when you boobs give us a reason to worry (like Jeff up there going to Granada) we feel somewhat normal. Our worry has a reason.

If we think you are safe and happy,then we are feeling a wee bit psycho because we are worried stoopid with no just cause. So when we find out that we were feeling psycho and should not have been because you did not give us the comforting knowledge that you were in a war getting your ass shot at, or some other crisis, we are going to get a wee bit miffed.

Actually, Holly...the correct word for it is SUCKER!  And I'll just bet he lets his little grandson get away with everything that his mother got in trouble for when she was his age.....I've always said that grandkids can do anything they want short of setting the house, or in your case, the cat, on fire!  Of course, when you bring up that point, your parents look at you and deny they ever yelled at you!  Ya just gotta love that ol' selective amnesia!

Status: offline 		Seems at one time or another, we each did the "I'm fine, but...." call to a mom......when I had an accident, I had to call my mom collect at work, she couldn't take the call, and just before the operator pulled the plug, I hollered "Mom, I've been hit!"......I had to call back, and the damn police department made me PAY for the long distance phone call......boy, was my mom piiiiiissed!!!!  Well, once she knew I was ok, that is.....man, payback is a real bitch, ain't it?
