Perfect jogging weather!

Unless I am running from a whip carrying s-type, there is no such thing as "perfect" jogging weather.  Jogging is EVIL!!!!!!!!

In my quest to get fit (which is working well, down another 4 lbs), I am training first for a 5k, then a half marathon, and finally, the Marine Corps Marathon in October.   What I like about jogging is that I have to focus so hard on keeping my breathing steady and putting one foot in front of the other, I don't have time to worry or fret.  It is just a steady stream of random consciousness..and I like that.

And, an update: I am 25 lbs total!  Only 11 lbs from goal!

same as usual...

and...

I'm listening to my husband snore via Yahoo phone...LOL

(edited for clarification)

It's kinda embarrassing to admit but I can't sleep if I don't hear Lumus snoring.... I keep waking up in a panic thinking something's wrong. In fact, i can tell when He's not having a good night by His sounds and movements. Specifically in His case, lack of them. If He's too quiet and not moving, that means He's having a bad night.

I also remember many more years ago than I care to admit to about a story in Ann Landers. Some woman wrote in about how she'd lived with her husband's snoring for many, many years and complained about it. Then he died and she said that she would give anything to hear her husband snore one more time. I look at it that way, that His snoring, annoying as it can be at times, is a sign that He is alive and with me, so I treasure it.

Ok, sappy, lovesick moment over.............

Are you kidding me, Aylee?

Knowing my penchant for channeling Holly's grace, I would take my own eye out.

Huzzah for Trapped!!

I am ashamed of myself, though.  Thursday night I told our instructor that I would grab one of the boxes of clay so we could unload the car in one trip.  A fifty pound box of clay.  And I could not carry it the hundred feet into the building.  Sure, I made it MOST of the way.  I was not out of breath, I was DIZZY and faint, and there was no way I could lift that box after I set it down.  It took me five minutes to RECOVER!!

Sigh.  Yes, we will be resuming weight training, thank you.

Flimsy Hib

*snicker*

I have only successfully gotten a whip to "crack" a few times.  I am sure that is was rather amusing for my s-type to watch.  It was at  a play-party we were at, and another guy had one.  He was not all that experienced with it either, but he did go ahead and show me how it was "supposed" to work.
