ORIGINAL: KMsAngel sigh. someone tell me what age kids are when they start taking responsibility for themselves, please? ~snorts~ this latest crop? Somewhere between 18 and 30, for the most part. Tis an extension of their "but I'm a grown-up with rights" that starts when they are around 15 when they don't want you to tell them what to do, who they can call, how much time they can spend on the phone vs. doing their homework BUT want you to buy them a car and dole out cash when they want it because they "just can't find a job" but they don't respect the fact that you have one or worked hard to earn it. hey, cutie, who's been telling you about my life?? I've got two of my own, angel (?)...remember? Just last night, the oldest one was telling me about her money woes. This went on for about 15 minutes and I finally managed to get her off the subject by asking "So where are you?" "Well Dad, I had class earlier, then I went to work, then on to another class and now, I'm on my way home from tanning." Slightly puzzled, I asked "Do you go to the park to tan?" "No Dad, I go to the spa here and use the tanning bed". ???!!!??? The same girl who's been bitching to me about money woes goes to a frigging spa to get tanned????????????????????????????????????
