Status: offline 		LOL... I don't know how some survive it all... all toys seem to take batteries and make noise. In my day, all we had were those ball popper thingies... it was bad enough with those! Every parent has to be a lil bit insane to survive it I think.

Status: offline 		I was highly pleased several years ago when the "Cali Girl" Barbies came out.  I even own one, although Butterhead has had NO interest in playing with it.  It is on a shelf that she has climbed up stuff to get to other things on it.  Since she has NOT tried to snag it down, I figure that it is a sign of lack of interest.  I have very mixed feelings about dolls as toys.

Status: offline 		Aylee, I just read that as Call Girl Barbies. I'm so glad it was my error.

I never had a barbie, only a midge (friend) doll because barbie was a blonde and I'm a brunette. I was a deprived child. And I resented having a short dark haired midge enormously, probably because I'm a short brunette myself. Dolls are for fantasy, I had a mirror if I wanted reality.

The solution for toys that make noise is to save half used batteries. The toy will still operate but not at full volume. Flashlights got the good batteries, toys got the dying one.

Status: offline 		Never was one for the hot wheels....one year, when I was a little kid, my Christmas presents were a bucket o' soldiers and and Army jeep.  I spent HOURS in the sandbox with them!

When my son was little, I got him the BIIIIIG Tonka dump truck.....he and my nephew would sit in the back of it and ride it down the hill at my parent's house.....they had skinny little asses then.  They'd build up enough speed and shoot under the electric fence for the cows, scattering them everywhere....so you KNOW they had to go back up the hill and try it again!

Edited cuz Squeaks makes a better door then she does a window!
