soul, if you can handle the bills without becoming hideously overdrawn or behind on them... if you don't have dependent children (or at least not much), then why not go where the whim carries you?

i can tell you, i did that not quite 2 yrs ago. didn't have a permanent place to stay (only had 6 wks with a relative) and no job. totally different state, 1/4 of the way around the country. i did what you say you don't mind doing, took a 'lesser' position, rode it out and now have a job doing exactly what i want, for a fairly normal, decent wage.

it's a rush! where are you going to get money for gas, for food, for shoes! but the potential....... you only live once. don't live a life of regrets, baby!

Well, Angel....you just pretty much said what I've told everyone I've talked it over with at work. I've already told my boss that if it comes down to layoffs in the radio room, I'd go voluntarily, cuz I don't have a family to support. My boss doesn't want to lose me, even tho she said she understands where I'm coming from, the officers feel the same way...it's hard to get good competent people, they want to hang on to us, but the way things are going, soon I'm going to be paying the state for the opportunity to work!

With the money I'll have available, I should be able to go at least 6 months if I can't find a job, and a year if I can find something til the right job comes along. It's very tempting.....I just want some outside advice to consider. Thanks, hun!

You should see what a shattered 6' flourescent tube bulb does.......glass freaking EVERYWHERE!!!!!! And it's that fine shit that works it's way under the skin.......a friend and I were carrying a plant shelf, and for some reason, it just went "POP"......glass all over our legs, in our socks and shoes....what a mess!

Altho, I did see the pic on the site, and it was worth a hearty *snort*!

Did you know that the cockroach in metamorphosis wasn't real? The dude didn't really turn into a bug. That Dark Steven - ripped my suspension of disbelief right out of me. Rought way to start a Monday.
