I hope that everyone one had a fantastic Halloween!  The weather here was unbeleiveably nice.  I thought that it was going to be cold and miserable and wet, but is was rather pleseant. 

I did notice something interesting during trick-or-treating in this area.  Not ONE of the people who have dogs had their lights off for the kiddos. 

There were loads of trick-or-treaters running around and everyone looked to be having a very good time! 

So. . . any fun plans for today?  I think here it is just some laundry and some more rest for me. 

We have oooodles of candy if anyone wants some!

Status: offline 		Unbelievably nice weather? That's it I'm including you with Heretic on my list of people to hate. It rained here, again. Or still. The teen went with friends, I thought about going in to see the pumpkin contest but I didn't want to have to walk in the rain.

Status: offline 		Yes it was.  It was not raining.  It was not cold, just cool enough for fleece shirts / sweatshirts.  There was no nasty wind.  We were very surprised.  There had been some thought of having her where her snowsuit under her costume.  But we were able to just have her in the fleece bodysuit underneath and it had a hat for the stem, so ears were warm.   

So. . . does this mean that you do not want me to tell you about how warm it is when I am in Miami again next week? 

I am sorry to hear that the weather kept a good deal of the Halloween fun at bay.

No, actually I'm glad Butterhead had good weather. And except for missing the pumpkin contest I think a rainy Halloween is perfect for a Saturday. Keeps the teen hijinks down significantly. And makes enforcing the 9:00PM curfew easier on the police. Two years ago I was picking the kids up and I waited in a parking lot for them. They were escorted back by a police officer ten minutes late, he was just checking that a parent really was there.

Holly, you have  mail! 

9pm curfew. . . is that for all nights or just Halloween.  I know that the town I grew up in has a curfew for those under 18 now, unless it is school or work related, but I think it is a midnight curfew.  Do they actually work?  I have not seen any articles about the results and the efficacy of them.

I messed with the kids' minds.  One set of parents hung in the background, father with a dog on a leash, while their girls shook me down for candy, and I asked why he had a werewolf on a leash.  The littler girl told me very seriously that it was a dog, not a werewolf.  Her older sister just grinned.

One of the houses here had a system set up so that the carved pumpkin in the front could "talk."  It told Butterhead all about one day being able to grow up to be a "Great Pumpkin" like him.  It was so cute. 

I am glad that you had fun with the kiddos.
