Well, here's a good one....who do you suppose was watching the lasers hit the back wall (instead of the stage), and was often seen looking overhead at the lighting equipment??

Me, the ex-lighting design geek.  I couldn't believe all the neat stuff for lighting nowadays (as I sound like an old fogie!)

OMGary!  The coffee cake turned out so fantastic! 

You know those ones that you buy in the store and they put a ton of icing on them and just a little fruit on top?  Well, this one you kind of do like cinnomen rolls, where you roll out the dough, spread the fruit ALL over it, and then the almonds on top (I do not care for pecans and that is what the recipe wanted) and then you roll it up.  You put it in the pan in a spiral.  So there is fruit ALL through it, every bite! 

I stuck half of it in the freezer!

Actually, if you were all here to eat it up, I would not have needed to put half in the freezer.  BUT, since I do not want to end up pigging out on it all by myself, I did so.  I am trying to be GOOD! 

Besides, if you all came over and ate stuff up, I would have a PERFECT reason for making more!

LOL I do that all the time, ask Tulip.. I kept looking up during the Blackmores NIght show.. I think I may have even commented a few times at a level that she heard me....

dont get me wrong, the lighting was pretty good.. no (manual) spots, they were using strictly wigglies and Fresnels.

I was just disappointed that there was never any really good light on Ricthie..although, that may have been HIS choice....

Status: offline 		They had a whole stash of stuff including something I've not seen before and had to google it - FLATLITEs (http://www.e-lite.com/ee.htm).  They were placed on structural elements (multi-section grids over the stage, and overhead lighting grids above the audience).

Pretty spiffy devices.  And the laser scan rates are way way up nowadays - they can generate a solid fan pattern around 30-40 degrees wide.

Looks like a fair amount of high-power LEDs in use in the back, along with extensive use of LED screens.

I really, really wanted to see the controllers!  I just be weird like that!
