ORIGINAL: sirsholly the ice storm last night is bring things crashing down that should be up and standing tall. Trees are losing branches faster than we can duck. But...perhaps our luck is changing. There was a huge icicle hanging from the top of the house. It had to be 8-10 feet long and 3 feet across. We knew this was going to cause a serious problem when it came down...and today it let lose, taking the gutter with it (so what...it's a freakin gutter). I had kept the LoudOne inside because of this sucker, and a few others. They would kill whomever the fell on. It landed in the porch roof and crashed into the spare bedroom window. I thought for sure we lost not just the window, but the entire wall. Unbelievably...it caused no damage to the window itself, but the impact was so hard it not only knocked the curtain down, but also the brackets that held the curtain rods. Thank God no one got hurt. Now then, clumsy...errrrrrrrrrrr, heavenly...let someone else (Jim, a neighbor, ANYBODY) be the one to go out on the ice to get the ice cleared up. Oh damn!!!! you did not slip on the ice once it was in the bedroom, didja? ~grins and runs, then from a safe distance~ you've got mail, by the way.
