All i ate for 8 months were Caesar Salads and Mozzarella sticks from Applebees.....and for some reason, soft shell tacos.....srrsly....ANYTHING else caused an all day tour of the facilities....

As I recall, the advice I was given if morning sickness or heartburn or whatever was really bad, was to eat what I could.  Not to worry about a balanced meal so much, but just eat something.  The different tri-mesters cause different issues.  So it is unlikely that one would need to be on a corn-flakes only diet the entire time.  (or pick whatever food)  Besides, you take a preggers vitamin and that Omega stuff anyway to make up for any lacks in your diet.

In your case Perse, caesar salad, mozz sticks, and soft shelled tacos, are a pretty balanced meal.  I would want to see some more calcium, and that can be done lots of ways.

I think that the bigger problem is women wanting to gorge themselves on certain foods instead of being sensible about it.  I remember talking to my obgyn nurse type person abaout what I was eating (because they ask of course) and commenting that I ate a cookie every morning (they made fresh baked ones every day where I was working) and that I had been eating the mango ice cream.  When I told her the amounts, she pretty much brushed it off with, "Oh don't worry about that, you are doing fine."  I was going through a pint of ice-cream every week to ten days.  It tasted good. I am not much of an ice-cream eater most of the time.

Good Morning, Aylee!
i am going to take a walk - the sun is shining, the snow is melting, and i have a letter to mail for my enrollment in a Medicare supplement insurance program.  (i celebrate the big 65 in a couple of months.)

Good morning Fluffy!

Enjoy the sunshine and your walk.  Enjoy it extra for me!

How did I get appointed cookie baker for all of the gang? And who do I talk to in order to give the job back?

I made a jam cake yesterday and took it into the city today for my dad's 83rd birthday. Don't feel like making anything else now.

The peanut butter blossoms wouldn't last the mailing. People in this house eat them before they cool fully. But I can dig out the recipe for all y'all.

Pregnancy. I couldn't eat any protein in the form of meat so I made homemade jello from unsweetened gelatin and pure fruit juices and ate that. When my cousin was having the same problem I suggested it to her, and it helped her. And as I'm lactose intolerant I chewed calcium tablets a couple of times a day which gave me a couple hundred extra calories not wasted on milk that could be used for better things. TCBY as I recall.

I've been there, darlin', and it sucks. Hope you're finding some spots of sunshine amid all these clouds.

Hi, sunshine.  You're the first Korean I've known in a long time.  Glad you made it okay.

If i can quote George Strait:

"I've been to church
I've read the book
I know He's here, but I don't look
near as often as I should
Yeah, I know I should
His fingerprints are everywhere
I'd just slow down to stop and stare
opened my eyes and man I swear
I saw God today"

He was in the form of numbers on a lab report that said we managed the improbable, if not the impossible.
He was in the form of the smiles of the hospital staff who were with us every step of our journey.
He was in the look on Jims face, and the love in his eyes, when he realized his wife is having his baby.

this sounds like paradise! The baked chicken will have the house smelling so good, and the new book adds to the perfection.

I hope the ice doesn't bring the power lines down.

Have visited them today and had dinner there, lots of hugs and kisses and news about school, kindy and the eldest has just started high school (grade 7, not suire of the equivalent over there) Even though there is much joy with your own kids, I have to admit the special bond I have with my grandkids is the most amazing thing and I would do anything to protect that, and them.....

But you know this, I suspect it took some effort for this pregnancy to occur, because of your poem, so I am extra pleased for you!
