i think of it as part of my kids' growing up. holidays like thanksgiving and christmas become less about us as a family and more about them as their families (or possible families). i'd like to think they'll continue the traditions as part of their american heritage. i consider it spreading the virus, one person at a time!

Status: offline 		Eh. it was funny yesterday because I ran into an older lady from the apartment building while taking out the rubbish. She was mentioning how horrible the weather was since it was freezing cold, snowing, blowing, that sort of weather. I laughed and smiled then said I thought it was lovely "holiday weather". I had to explain that I just moved here from the states and that today was Thanksgiving Day and the blowing snow was perfect for it. She looked a little confused then laughed as she said "oh, you mean like Christmas?"

Status: offline 		Eh, if nothing else, let him know that you're thinking of him and praying for him. Hopefully he'll be home next year or maybe he can enjoy a belated Thanksgiving/Christmas when he gets home.

As for me, this too shall pass. Lumus was absolutely wonderful and remarkable yesterday even as I fell apart (several times) at the mall. Incredible man, he is.....

Yep, basic black with a combination lace and zip up. They have thinsulate in them so they're good for the cold. Ya got a quick cmail btw......
