ORIGINAL: sirsholly I had to go to the LO's school to help dress the toddler group for the Christmas play's dress rehearsal. I recommend this to no one . Anyway...the little ones all play shepherds. They are dressed in little wee robes, carrying little wee staffs....looking like little wee cutie-pies. At the end of the play they all gather around the manger to sing "Silent Night". If you have ever heard a bunch of near-infants sing that song you know the "silent" is about 27 sylables long. As soon as it started, one of the shepherds (guess who?) used his staff for a microphone and began to ROCK. I mean..think of Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show and you have a pretty good image. That kid was gettin' down with his BAD self!!! His sainted teacher calmly explained that one does not boogie through "Silent Night". I had to leave. Oh precious goodness..... I would so love to see that!!! (Now - I wonder who, HEY HOLL-PARTS!!!!!, coached him on that one?!?) Rain
