Glorifying Doms in Journals - 6/6/2008 6:51:28 AM

I have browsed through many profiles of subs and I see a re occuring theme. Why do subs feel the need to tell the entire collar community about the great things that go on between themselves and their Doms?? It is like the family newsletter where the part about Uncle Joe getting a DWI and Aunt Sarah banging the pizza delivery boy are conveniently left out. I have seen too many times, people expressing how perfect their relationship is, how deeply they love, how they found the perfect soul mate and three months later, they are saying the same thing about someone else.

My question is who are you trying to convince???

Please if you have over 500 post's do not reply, I would like some fresh insight.

I'd give you a serious response....but I can't because I'm stale.

Anyone, no matter the number of posts they have, can give fresh insight to fresh questions.  Yours isn't one of them.

Every week "dominants" come here and complain about "sub/slave" profiles on the other side.

Doesn't really matter if they are trying to convince their readers or themselves..... it's their journal and they can put whatever they want in it as long as it doesn't violate the TOS.

I was thinking more along the lines of a nice pecan praline bread pudding, with a creamy bourbon sauce.

to be serious and not to jack the thread, my post numbers aside, i think it's because it's a neutral area where no one will judge them (they hope). they can talk about their relationships in a location where people won't care what happens behind closed doors. personally i would be more concerned with slave/sub journals where everything is what is going wrong with their relationship. and having gotten mail about my not so happy posts about Him there may actually be more pressure than what you think to write 'family newsletters' than more true to life journal entries.

Anyone with under 500 posts should not reply to this response...okay I'm weak...I don't really care about your post count.

As to why, I'm answering this...well, following directions isn't one of my things....I use the hair dryer in the shower. It cuts down on prep time!

And, people post what they want in their journals because they want to. The "next" button is a very short read if these journals bother you.

I agree with spanklette... and everyone else.  Nothing new to contribute. I'm only writing so I can get one closer to 1,000 posts.

Everybody has problems, but why air your dirty laundry?  Maybe, people are more likely to post when they're in a great mood, so the naturally the journals reflect that.  And a word of worning....never piss of the locals.  They don't like that.

I don't like hearing from people with thousands of post's because as you have demostrated, I think most are interested in just saying something in ridicule.
