OK, maybe you cross-dressers can help me out. I wear size 11–11.5 womens US size shoes (and that's if the shoemaker is honest about it). I lucked into a pair of so-called size 11 women's faux suede boots at Wal-mart (gag) last year, but they had Euro sizing on the box, too, and it was labelled as a 44. Hah! But that gave me the notion to bother trying them on (most US so-called women's size 11s are a joke...too small, and too narrow).

However...Google is NOT producing anything helpful in the way of boots in such sizes. I figure somewhere out there, these 6-foot-plus cross-dressers and drag queens have got to be keeping a few shoemakers in business at the large end of the size scale. Heck, even before I got my feet straightened out I was bumping into the end of the size range where all they carried was old lady shoes and nurse's professional wear. Mostly I wear 42 or 43 Birkies (unisex size range, huzzah!), but I'd really like to find some nice leather low or flat heeled boots.

Hints? or is it a trade secret?

Pleaserusa.com.... I sell them online, a lot of their stuff goes up to 16 altho they can come up narrow, but most people who sell shoes seem to sell Pleaser, but not give their uppersizes as available, so check with retailers if they can get them in for you(if you give them a name and number)

Thanks for the leads.

Just for the record, neither PleaserUSA.com nor theshoeguy.com have any flat heels AT ALL...all about platforms and stilettos. Great for those who want them, but there was a reason I bolded the words Flat and Low heel.

Zappos.com is interesting; CanadaZappos is more interesting (better interface, easier search, similar prices quoted in US dollars).

eBay is mostly useless. I can turn up a handful of hits, but eBay stores don't usually have outsize sizes left, and the resale of used size 11-12 women's is preposterously infrequent.

Guess I'll have to see about custom local. At least there are a couple of shoe and bootmakers locally!

Looking for "flat heels" isn't very helpful. If you want a medium heel, the term "mid heel" should turn something up.

I did a quick ebay search for you and turned up this store in about 4 seconds. Sizes 11-12-13 and alot of them come in wide.

Kinky Boots =) Of course the are made for CD's but I'm sure they would still work and fit well. They are a bit pricey and probably not very casual, but you might find something you like.

P.s. Watch the movie, its a true story and pretty good.

PleaserUSA also have demonia which do have some flat shoes I wear the black velvet sassies as my normal everyday shoe.

I also have a cute pair of flats that have little handcuffs on them and various other styles

You can also try giving Foot Fetish in SF a call. Not sure if they have flats or lower heels or even a website, but they are the go to place in SF for cd and transgirls for sexy sexy larger sized boots.

www.pierresilber.com,. www.snaz75.com , www.duganbrothers.com, www.howcool.com, www.misshighheel.com, are all sites that carry shoes in larger sizes. if i think of anymore i will let you know. Also, sometimes fredericks of hollywood will carry their shoes up to size 12 too.

Thanks, folks, I appreciate it. If only all the "sexy boots" weren't guaranteed to break my ankles and ruin what's left of my toes...my last pair of high heels was Army issue, and they went away when I got my honorable discharge...30 years ago. I thought I'd faint when I saw these latest styles with the foot en pointe and a 7 or 8 inch heel to keep it that way. Ow! However, there's a few useful designs among the crowd.

BEST shoe store i have found on the net, esp if your on a budget. I have yet to pay more than 20.00 US for any 5" heel, thigh high boot or such(and i've bought 20+ pairs in the past year or so). fast service, and big sizes, and a advanced search option by size or type and such. I Highly recommend them
