Thanks to all for your responses, as I found them very insightful. It's always nice to visit Gorean threads, because they mostly seem to stay on topic and elicit honest and thoughtul replies, as opposed to breaking down into flame wars.

I have a follow up question, particularly to Gorean Masters, would you find humilation of your slave offensive, if for example you loaned her to another Master and he called her a name that you didn't like? Or perhaps he made her crawl like an animal, and you just simply didn't like it. What is typically done to resolve those sort of situations?

Tal,

If I loaned out my property to another Gorean Master I would make sure his integrity was the same as mine.........if He wanted her to crawl around on her hands and knees then sure why not...she is there for my pleasure as well for the pleasures of some of my closest freinds that have integrity, honor and compassion........Would you loan your property to someone would would wreck it? I would think that any Owner would think of this beofre loaning out thier property

I agree wholeheartedly with SirSix72. Before we would allow our servant to serve anyone else, that person would have to be 'vetted' by Lady SilverRose and myself. In the past, all of the owners of the Household would have to agree to a given Free. It wouldn't be decided quickly, either... in order to rate "borrowing" our property, the person would have to be a pretty doggone close friend of the family, and someone whom we could be certain would care for our property as carefully as we would ourselves.

That being said, if one of our friends wanted to use our property for certain 'kinks' that we didn't share, including desiring her to behave as an animal, calling her by a name that we might prefer not to use ourselves, or to participate in a certain scenario that they were preparing, as long as we knew that they would take care of our property, we'd say "go for it". The same for our friends to whom we'd offer hospitality in our own home... if they wanted our servant mute, blindfolded and groveling at their feet, we would have no problem with that, as long as she was cared for and properly put up when they were finished with her.

Curious, very curious!! Thanks for the replies. I wish I had the time or the attention span to read the books, because I bet there is a lot about Gor that I would learn!!

Now, there is an interesting thought. Do the Gor books have anything to teach as regards the "Gorean Lifestyle?" "This One" thinks not a great deal, since the lifestyle is only related to the books in the same way that the movie "Pretty Woman" was an accurate representation of the lifestyle of the average hooker.
