Thadius -> RE: Key Gorean Protocols (6/25/2008 12:02:03 PM)

Greetings Jahna, To use your example of a cat. Is it your cat that determines how and when it is praised, pet, or even acknowledged? Or do you make that decision, when you are ready? A slave is really no different in that, perhaps some girls are trained better than cats. While the owner has the great responsibility of maintaining the girl both physically and mentally, he has no obligation to acknowledge her on anything other than his terms and this also includes his timeline. That being said, I enjoy interacting with my girl and do so all of the time, she also knows that if I come in the door and don't acknowledge her that she should continue doing the things she needs to get done. That if and when I am ready to, I will call her over. Anyways, to answer the original poster. While there are some beautiful exchanges and expected behaviours in the books, most of the men I know (myself included) have our own preferences as to what "rituals" are followed. I guess the key, if there is one, protocol is to behave as your status allows, for a girl to know that she is a slave, this would be true in the home as well as at a public gathering. I wish you well, Thadius P.S. Of course this is just my opinion, and other I am sure will disagree.
