As a Pro Domme, I realize that it is scammers/hustlers like this that give the bad reputation I fight with. The internet as well as the incredibly weighted ratio of submissive men to Dominant women creates an environment for boys who are thinking with the wrong head, or out of desperation when in that "sub-place" (not subspace) to allow themselves to be taken advantage of. Yes, there are "lists of shame" - I know of a "Mistress" that does most of her "work" online, and she is very good at getting personal information and even pictures before she starts asking for the money to be sent (she will post the entire IM conversation to 8000 members of her yahoo group). She then basically blackmails these men giving them an hour or so to send her anywhere from $600 to well over $1000, even increasing the amount the more the men question it and protest. She will have even looked up the closest Western Union office to them and tell them how many miles it is and how long it should take them to get there, and add $100 for every 10 minutes they are late. She states that it is not blackmail, but rather punishment, for not doing as they are told and wasting her time, and that once they have not sent the proper amount by the deadline, the pictures/info are going up and there is nothing they can do. Then, at some point, she will tell them, after it has been posted, that for $$ they can earn her favor back and get the info removed. She is obviously smart (you can tell when reading through these IM conversations), but I really believe going too far in posting when she puts up family pictures with a man's wife and CHILDREN as well as his address. Why do these men give her this information - they are idiots...but the other people that are exposed from their mistakes take this from someone who may have deserved what he got for being a stupid wanker to really crossing a line, even a legal one perhaps. I'm not sure. BTW - I am not a member of her group, but I know a man who is - he met her in person at an event and joined, then showed me the "crazy" stuff she did and the "morons" who go through it. She has also had men send her webcam video/pictures of them doing outrageous and unsafe other things like urinating in the work coffee pot, then putting it back for coworkers to drink...Personally, I think it is just WRONG, but I want you to really know - IT DOES HAPPEN! Submissive men - need to think of the consequences to your actions and BE CAREFUL - don't just let your cravings for fantasy fulfillment or to "play online"outweigh your sense of right from wrong or do anything that would put your life as you know it in jeopardy..
Fortunately, I can be VERY selective and see only a few boys quite regularly. When you pay tribute, you are either paying for your kink, or in my case - the power exchange, with discretion and without the drama that any stricktly personal relationship could bring. $200 - $300/hour is pretty average for a RT session. $1000 is high, but not unheard of for an extended session, but as with anything else that you may make that kind of investment, I would do your research. Most Pros that are reputable can give you references and there are people within the community that will vouch for them. Even online, I think there are legitimate Pro Dommes that offer services for people that can't session RT (based on time, location, or circumstance) - but a Pro online must truly understand the mental aspects of BDSM, and this is certainly an area that you must be very careful to avoid those unscrupulous women (or men posing as women) who will take advantage of your desire to submit.
Another note - ANY Domme that puts up a profile on cm and does not say upfront that they are a Professional and that Tribute IS required should be seriously questioned and considered before you session. If you are a respectable, reputable Pro - there is NO reason to hustle anyone. You will have more boys wanting to see you than you could possibly session with. Every REAL good Pro I know is able to be selective for this reason. In fact, if a Pro, even one who advertises as one in her profile, will just book a session without some lenghty communication via email or phone, and simply gives you tribute for a session based on the activities you ask for, I believe you should question. It is not a definitive sign that should alarm you, but it is a possibility that it is someone fairly new, inexperienced, or just does it more for the money than actually enjoying Dominating you. I have had plenty of men tell me that their prior experiences with Pros have been less than satisfying for this reason. Obviously, anyone with a sexy black outfit, blindfold, rope and a whip can call themselves a Dominatrix. There are NO regulations or certifications. Just because you are submissive shouldn't mean you don't have a brain...use it - do some research, ask questions, and if you do - chances are the money you spend on tribute will be well spent!
