Tal and greetings all,

This has been an interesting week for many reasons, as I am sitting here reading I started thinking about what I learned this week.

I learned that it is inevitable that a mime will show up here explaining the importance of non-verbal communication, and how it makes them a superior Gorean.

I learned that FW are actually human, and that some don't prefer to have knots tied in their panties.

I learned that Bull wants to kill my girl jess (a.k.a. wabbit).

I learned that some folks wish to use Gor as a scapegoat for their own shortcomings.

I learned that a Paso Roble is not the same as a Paso Doble.

I learned that cheriz is being sprung from her incarceration, and that thankfully nobody used the phrase "mercy killing".

I learned just how close much of this community is, even with our differences and disagreements.

Well that is just a few of the things I learned this week, what have you learned?

I wish you well,
Thadius

Afternoon Thadius!
I learned there are more than one color of caulk, and that it is ok if it comes off (Thanks Brule!)
I learned that cheriZ is out, and in a good way.
I learned how to get the knots out of my knickers, difficult as it was.
I learned that some folks who post on here are mad as hatters, and some are so sensible I will never achieve that groundedness in my lifetime.(took me longer than a week to figure that one out. Is it still ok?)
Thanks
Y
Edited to add: I learned about Haka! and no I have NOT spent my weekend watching sexy dudes in shorts (and kilts) chanting at each other!!!! God I love YouTube!

I also learned that some of the women around here have very nice breasts, thanks for the pictures.

(note: I like all breasts, just some seem to have the same powers as those old spinning hypnosis rings)

Greetings Master Thadius

I learned that submitting to the will of my Master won't cause me to loose my identity, but rather will change it and allow it to grow.  I learned that I can either be controlled by him or by fear, and that I much prefer him.  (He's been waiting 3 years for me to figure that one out)

I also learned that there are people here who rejoice sincerely for me when I make a break through.  I also learned that some people are very shallow and prefer to criticize rather than help.  Thankfully the latter has been small in number.

I managed to read a 9 page post with out making an unnecessary response.  (that one was a toughie)

and I was reminded that a certain regular here will never coddle or lie to me and i love her for it.

thank you for the opportunity to share this week's lessons learned

Greetings Masters,
Greetings Mistresses,
Greetings property,

Greetings Master Thadius,

Let's see, this week i learned:

How to keep cool by tying my panties in a knot then freezing them. I know that (apparently) it's the FW who do this but hot damn it works.

Yes there IS such a thing as too many strawberries...nuff said

Posting the same thread on different boards gets you lots of attention though not the kind that's pleasant.

I learned that cheriZ is free from the hospital, so my Thelma and Louise type escape and roadtrip won't be necessary.

And they say chat boards aren't educational....

be well,

phoenix

I learned that Thadius has a good sense of humor.

Oh, wait, no--I already knew that.

*shrug* well, it's a good thing anyway.

*fast reply*

Glad to see this is being taken in the light it was meant, for the actual lessons we have learned and also to help lighten up the mood.
--------------
Orion,
Perhaps the lesson is to trust where warranted?
I don't know the specifics, so I will take what you have shared at face value.
I trust you have a grasp on the situation, but if you want to talk you know how to reach me.

----------
lily,
It is great to hear that you are blossoming into the beautiful creature that your owner desires.
Keep on growing.
----------
phoenix,
What are you doing wearing panties?  Besides with that slave heat doesn't it require having a few pair in the freezer for constant changing
----------
Y,
With the caulk, did you learn the neat little trick with some water on your finger?

I learned that sometimes its simply not worth it

I learned that sometimes it simply is

I learned that Liz has a sexy voice.. wink wink nudge nudge say no more

I learned to see myself a little more clearly

I learned that sometimes perception isnt always reality  and I learned that sometimes it is.

Greetings Master,

I learned that research can lead to no conclusion.

I learned that tasks are far more pleasant when someone you desperately want to please has requested the service.

I learned that no matter how far apart we are from the one we love, it doesn't dampen the burning inside.

well wishes ~ fairer than she

Tal all,
I have learned that no matter how hard or how long you search for something, sometimes it simply isn't to be found.

I have learned not to be less trusting, but to take more things with a grain of salt until proven.

I have learned that when you have too many strawberries (or meatballs) Pepto Bismol is your friend.

And I have learned that I want kajira to be one of Baskin-Robbins 31 flavors

                               I wish you well,

Greetings Master

I learned that helping others is the most gratifying experience I could ever have and keep having.

I learned that friends can be found in the darndest places.

I learned that everyone deserves a second chance, even when the status quo doesn't find it deserving.

I learned that living and dying are the same thing.

Sincerely,
~twinkle

greetings to all,

xian has learned that her Master's will is her absolute law (and that he will quickly take the opportunity for an activity she adores from her if she doesn't behave) ... and how much that makes her feel so totally owned by him (and a lot more beautiful).

she is starting to truly learn to not be afraid of being a slave, and is finally starting to find something she has been seeking for many years....a sense of inner peace, inner "being" and "correctness".

she has started to learn the art of selective deafness in regards to people (other than Master) in her life, and how valuable that is to her sense of self control, and sense of self esteem.

she has learned that the Gorean community here are an amazing bunch of people, that she is truly privileged to know and interract with.

well wishes,

Tal and greetings,

I'll take this thread is hte spirit I believe it was offered.

1. I learned that I am not a Gorean and likely will never be until I have read the entire series for the 2nd or 3rd time and the epiphany arrives.
2. I learned there are some friendly people and there are some not so friendly people in every group.
3. I learned that the books were not about the Master, mistresses and slaves or slavery, those issues just muddle the doctrine.
4. I learned that I am my slave and she is me.
5. I learned that my slave is my submissive.
6. I learned that often people speak in riddles and similes using words like mime and such.
7. I learned that not everyone who posts in this group is Gorean, but some are still welcomed.
8. I learned many other things this week too, reading old threads.

Peace,

LL
