MasterSean51 -> In Need of Submissive in Indiana (3/1/2004 12:16:07 PM)

I am a Dominant living in Central Indiana looking for a submissive woman who wishes to be periodically humiliated, controlled, and perhaps punished. I will find your limits and push them. I also respect limits and will not rampage over them. I'm articulate, professional and discreet. My email is [email protected]. Drop me a note, I'm taking applications.

For all that you are, it is obvious that you can't read. This forum is titled "Ask a submissive" NOT "Place your ad for submissives here".... It is a very simple distinction. Did you bother to read/look at the other posts in this forum? Did you see a bunch of ads? Nope. Hmmm wonder why? Could it be all the other Doms/Dommes/Mistresses/Masters on this site have missed an incredible opportunity to tell the world about themselves? Or maybe we just realize that these forums are for communication and discussion about BDSM related topics. And while you may find your need for a submissive to be important to you, exactly how do you figure it merits discussion by the community at large? Just curious.

Perhaps the faux paux was inadvertent, posting while under the influence of those applications he mentiond he's taking? I've always heard that some applications really impact the emotions, akin to an endorphinish euphoric manner, but I don't take them anymore. I admit, yes I did take applications 'recreationally' in my youth, but since then I just say no (was offered one yesterday, but declined)... I'm maintaining well but some things make my fists clench up, but that usually only happens when reading threads like this... flashback?

Seriously, this incident could in fact be addiction related? I hear ya, and if you need help to get you off those 'applications', there are many nice people here in this message community that would offer their support in helping you find, recover and better yourself.

Anybody else have clenched fists after reading this?

Am I getting better?

This may be a silly question, but how come every male dominant that posts an ad gets torn apart and told to read the use of the boards (or something to that effect), yet nothing is said to female dominants? I mean Dread posted her add in every string, Rana has posted adds, and I recall there being a few others though I don't recall the names.

Is it that men are suppose to know better?

Just curious,

Sandy

I've actually seen women told the same thing, when the post was strictly a personal ad. When it's worked into a post that's vaguely on topic, I think it slides by. I agree though - the forums aren't the place for it, regardless of gender, orientation, etc.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this BDSM Lifestyle message board, and have recommended it to many. I'd say it's partly because of the refreshing points of view I find here, and partly for the diversity of interesting and stimulating topics I also find here.

My presence here is to interact, gain and share knowledge, opinion, and friendship in various levels... but I don't come here to troll, or by any stretch of the imagination to meet trolls, regardless of their gender or position... or pecking order at any feed trough.

There is an entire 'Rest of Collarme.com' beyond this message board... and correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think I've seen personal ads/profiles there, and it is considered to be the meeting place, rather than a (any) message board, duh!

In this particular forum, I have addressed this issue and pointed out posting person ads here is essentially trolling, and does NOT belong here, and is a bad stereotype to overcome... ie. troll elsewhere, but enjoy the message board, use it for it's intended purpose like everyone else does (most everyone else). Yes, I've also noticed regular participants having done similar, however... those were usually thread replys as opposed to complete threads... with no other purpose.

In answer to Sandy's very good question: No, we are ALL supposed to know better.

I confess, I did rip into this but Terry had already stated it so eloquently, but since the thread starter didn't even bother reading the existing troll threads, and ascertain if this was indeed a 'troll friendly' environment (had he read, he would have understood)... I felt it necessary to establish a 'cause' for someone to troll in a forum (or board) that does not welcome trolls with arms wide open... surely it is not simply and issue of disrespect, so must be a 'cause' for this odd behavior, especially in this particular forum (READ OTHER THREADS), duh!

Oh yeah, it helps to read the thread posts too... NOT just the thread's troll title, and decide this forum needs gracing with your very own troll thread also (READ OTHER THREAD POSTS, NOT JUST TITLES).

I owe this Man no pity or remorse for his lack of sense and odd behavior on a message board, and I highly commend Terry for acknowledging the stance I established in this very forum in other troll threads... read em', this Man obviously didn't!.

I would like to commend the one person who overcame the troll stereotype, by offering his appology to all board members... and to you Sir I appologize for my initial contact with you, and I now appreciate you for the gentleman you really are.

There does not seem to be a problem in the Ask a Master forum of sub/slaves trolling for Masters/Doms... not that I've noticed anyway. Personally, I don't monitor the Ask a Mistress forum, but find interesting commentary in the forum. I would think and hope some informal forum leaders would enforce a similar 'unfriendly to trolls' stance there, because it's more their territory which I respect.

BTW: I'm NOT troll friendly (in case no one has gleaned that), there's TOO MANY that make themselves evident daily in the other areas of collarme.com, where they are also not welcome, but considered more the norm rather than the exception.

I for one would not like to see this informative community become what too many other boards have become... simply uninterested and uninteresting people in a Twighlight Troll Zone!

As a male sub/slave (whatever) I think I can best answer Sandy. (BTW Sandy, should I call you Estrict?)

Female Dominats are rarer than male submissives. Greatly rarer.. Pick a small state and search fir female dominants you get about 4 or 5. In the same state look for male subs and you will get 10 or 12 ... pages. (No emoticon because that is about right.)

No matter what a female dominant does no sane male sub will do anything that might be seen as rude. (Even if she deserves it.) (Even if she is not my cup of tea, if she is the next guy's cop of tea I don't have to compete with him for the ONE.)

Now I'm guessing as to why others are motivated to look the other way.[:)]

As for the male dominants, they probably don't notice or care. (No offense taken, but Dread is not going to try and poach on your reserve.)

Female subs, not being directly addressed, probably couldn't care less are politely waiting for male subs to stand up. (They don't know that male subs won't.[:)])

Other Female Dominants probably think that those troll ads might help weed out the "wannabe's" so have no reason to act. (Trust me, getting applications from male subs is not a problem for them. Finding the wheat amongst the chaff is a problem. The troll messages probably help separate the chaff.)

Hey Dread, get any worthwhile replies? I know she must've gotten replies but I am curious how many were "good".

As for the Moderators, perhaps they know the male subs plight and let that extra opportunity happen. Or perhaps they are busy[:)])

Personally I'd like to know what type of mail Sean got if any?
