With Halloween swiftly approaching I thought it might be fun to share good stories and your best or favorite costume that you've seen or worn. And maybe what was the worst costume you've ever seen or worn.

Status: offline 		Greetings, Master! While I've never worn this costume, I have always thought it was rather funny... The man goes dressed in camoflage pants, combat boots, with no shirt.  The woman goes dressed in a camo shirt, army hat, and flesh colored tights or bare legs, barefoot. Together they are an upper and lower G.I. *groan* Well wishes, Cav's ally

ally C...Ohhhhh that makes this one very  cold *shudders*.
In Germany nur in Australia is Halloween really celebrated but the favourite costume talandra has seen is that of a girl in slave silks...but it was really really cold. (not recommended in colder areas)

Status: offline 		The best one I saw.. was my husbands girl made a black cape and glued single serving cereal boxes all over it and then dosed them in fake blood and inserted plastic knives in the boxes .. She was a cereal killer.. made me laugh.. SD

I have a friend whose son is in college.  He wore a black robe and sewed on one of those "time out" dolls (a cloth doll with no face that you put in the corner standing up) to the front of the robe. 

He said he was a Catholic priest.  I know, horrible, I'm sorry. :(

One Halloween, I was VERY pregnant……the sexy wench costume was totally out….

So, I wore a trash bag and my husband at the time wore a trash bag…on the front of mine it said “I’m Hefty”…and his said….”I’m Glad”. 
 
Another very cute couple costume that I remember was; this man came in dressed as a trowel…and his wife came in dressed as a brick….It took me a long time to get the idea…. “.He laid the brick”

Status: offline 		One of my favorite costumes was not from halloween but a theme dinner my ex and i hosted. Back then i had short red hair but even then "short" on me was several inches high! We dressed as Fred  and Wilma Flintstone and the costumes were a cinch to make and looked totally authentic with the exception of mine being black instead of white.
 
Infact, such a favorite of mine, that 15 years later, i still have it and it still fits!
 
Yabba dabba do!

Status: offline 		I'm one of the Principals of a symphony orchestra, and we often have a halloween concert where we wear costumes instead of black.

One year, since I just happened to have the hat and jacket for it, I went as Indiana Jones. I still have the whip---which I found at a local sex shop.

One guy came wearing a cardboard box TV---and the only channel showed Jerry Falwell.

I went to a party once which had a theme as "come as your worst nightmare."  My girlfriend came as a corporate lawyer.  The funny thing was, she WAS a corporate lawyer.

Status: offline 		Across the street from me there is a house with an apartment in the back..two extremely hot 20 something blonde chics live there...last weekend they dressed up like the St Paulie girls and had a party..they were just hanging out talking on the edge of their property and traffic was at a dead stop staring at them all evening. I thought they were great costumes and it was sweet eye candy for us.

My thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. At the end of a very tough week this was a joy to read. I look forward to more of the same. Who ever said Goreans have no sense of humor never hung out with the creative people found right here.

Status: offline 		I didn't see it myself, sadly, but I did have a friend back in college who, along with her boyfriend, dressed up for Halloween one year as a nut and a bolt.

The past 2 years at work, I've dressed in Starfleet uniform as it's simple and easy. A colleague of mine has insisted that I am not allowed to do so again, as that's too dull. She also hates hates hates Ren Faires. So this year, being the nice and considerate guy I am, I am coming in Ren Faire garb.
