Hi angel, Yes, having been through all his stuff, he's getting at taking action and responsibility. Instead of "Why me?" or "But what can I do?," using questions like "Where exactly do I want to be?" and "What one action can I take right now to begin to move me closer to that goal?" And by the way--those are both excellent questions. We talk a lot about the philosophy in the books, and we discuss it, but it's worth remembering that Goreans take action, not accept the status quo as victims. And certainly in the case of a newcomer, taking the initiative to read and learn rather than seek to be feed second hand is the best approach to question one, "What is Gor?" In answer to a newbie question on another site, I offered, "Tell you what. Read Tarnsman of Gor--it's an easy read and won't take long. If you hate it, problem solved. If you're interested, continue on to Outlaw of Gor." It's a straight-forward action that directly addresses the task, as well as saving the trouble of undoing a lot of misinformation from various pseudo-sources. Live well, Tim
