Greetings Sybilla....

I have a question, too.  I'd like to spend some time in a Gorean chatroom.  Naturally, I would be willing to observe etiquette and I'm not going to represent myself as someone I'm not, but I do know there are those who feel even observation by an "outsider" is a transgression in itself.  Is there a general consensus on that idea here in the CM chatrooms and/or are there some chats more appropriate for this than others?

Thank you again,
Sybilla

Thank you for the compliment on my web site. <smiles>

If you want good discussion, some amusing banter and want to know it is mostly from people who live this, try the GoreanWhispers Monday night discussion on IRC bondage.com at about 7 pm CDT. Crell...or Larry as he is known moderates it and he is part of the ChicagoGor group which just had its monthly meal meeting this afternoon. I used to be a regular there until I started working nights.

Be well....

Malkinius

~FR~

If we're going to gather online resources, Luther's Educational Scrolls certainly belongs among them.

OK…so just to gather the sites people suggested all in one place:
__________________________________________________________________________________

For those new to Gor, or at least to this forum, these threads address Frequently Asked Questions:
For those wishing to learn about Gor
Starting FAQ Thread
Everything you wanted to know about Goreans, but were afraid to ask
The Newcomer

What is beyond the simple definition of "What is this Gor stuff all about?" might interest those with Gor experience/knowledge, as might Honor, Code, and your Life. You can also find a host of discussions on specific points--in the upper right hand corner is a "search" link. Click it, and you'll see you can make it specific to the Gorean board, as well as narrow your search to Topics only and in a variety of other ways.

Some other threads you might find useful:
Here is a link to a list of the Gor books
Where can I find the Gor books?

Silk and Steel also has a good "WHAT IS GOR: THE FUNDAMENTAL BASICS" thread.

Lots of people have questions about how slaves are considered livestock in the books.
This thread, Livestock, Gor, BDSM, Vanilla, and Reading the Books, discusses that issue.

Here too are thread links addressing common questions about Gor and love and BDSM vs. Gor.
Also, For the girl seeking a Gorean Master.

People have also suggested these web sites (in addition to Silk and Steel mentioned above):
Gorean Live Networks
House of Malkinius
Fogaband
Luther’s Gorean Educational Scrolls

Any other suggestions?

Enjoy, and welcome to the Gorean forum!

Musicmystery -> RE: FAQ Threads (8/25/2009 3:20:34 AM)

Question--should the Gor as a religious movement thread be here?

It does address a Gor question...on the other hand, it's not really something that comes up regularly.

ElizabethAnne -> RE: FAQ Threads (8/25/2009 3:26:35 AM)

Hello Tim,

Quick correction, it's Fogaban, not Fogaband.    http://www.fogaban.com

Tal all,

A few more good Gorean sites worth a read;

Gorean Public Boards, longest running Gorean board on the web; http://www.pantheus.com/yabbse/index.php

Simon's site which should also be included here as it's full of good stuff and the ONLY place John Norman posts through; http://gorchronicles.com/modules/wfchannel/

The site of a Gorean free woman, her history and thoughts as such; http://www.geocities.com/gorean_falls/welcome.html

I wish you well,

  Camerius
