Am i wrong Trevelyn, because as we all know, i am still very UN-knowlegable, but am i wrong is believing that it is actually Gorean of you to stay married to her, since being true to yourself and being responsible for your decisions and actions ARE Gorean ways to live YOUR life?  i mean, she is enslaved to you in the way that suits you, and you are comfortable with the decisions you made in the past regarding how you defined your relationship...and you are living your life as YOU see fit.  What is un-Gorean about that?

*i am the WORST typer on these forums....jeez*

Tal Trevelyan,

I am not as hung up on the slave/marriage issue as some think. I was only ever hung up on people calling that acceptably Gorean. You aren't the only man I would call a friend that has a collared bride. I suspect that each man knows best what is important in his life and what he must do to make things work for him.

If you recall way back when this was a rampant issue I never told anyone to divorce a slave. I just didn't feel it was correct to think that being married to a slave was Gorean. But I think we agree with that. You have to do what you have to do, I underdstand that.

I can't speak for you, I have never witnessed your woman, but I see some that play slave in the sight of others only to live as companions when they are alone. Why do they feel the need for the illusion? Nothing in the books says a man and his comapnion shouldn't be hot for one another when socially acceptable. (In the sanctity of his home, beyond that he risks her being seen and her being desired openly by others; hence, well you know)

You my friend I suspect know if you have a slave on your hands so I'll trust your word.

Thanks for the reply.

Now I remember why I don't entirely trust Goreans, even though I think they're honorable.
I would save the young, Free and slave. Pairs - that way life can go on elsewhere. Pick the youngest, healthiest, bonded pairs most likely to survive and carry on the species. I cannot bear life - I am not cisgendered. I would die with grace - but it's mostly a thought fed by my pagan beliefs.

Greetings JuliaGreenleaf,

good thing that at least some people on the original Titanic were saved... or surely mankind would have perished...

I wish you well,

ishy

LOL, You take a bridge too far.

There is not a direct Astor (they were aboard and the women and children were left off).

But there are Melby's...and we couldn't afford the trip, we had to travel on the Stavangerfjord.

Humankind has survived without those who who have made some estimable trivial contributions to our populus.

But I follow the idealism of it,,,,,,,,,,

LOL.
