A micro-monograph on sluts:

Master never humiliates his slave, either verbally or by action. Master appreciates slave's obedience and loyalty. Master realizes that lifetime monogamy is not a situation which is necessarily 100% in accordance with human nature.

In appreciation of a year of obedient and loyal service, Master takes slave on vacation to a distant city, where he has arranged for a special reward. Master puts "slut" tag onto slave's collar, blindfolds slave, ties her into a leather swing, and lets various and sundry strangers of both sexes have their way with her, then repeats the process the folowing night. (Note: this was done with rather extreme safety precautions -- no slaves were harmed in the making of this scene.) Slave, free of responsibility for her actions, responds positively, insatiably, explosively. Afterwards, Master asks slave whether she has learned enough from that experience and wishes to move on. Slave opines that she would like, if Master doesn't mind, to try learning from a few more experiences like that first!

My point is that, to many of us, while polyamory may or may not be what seems to be our natural state, polyfuckery definitely is, to one degree or another. We smile when we say "slut," and do not find it insulting, rather like the way that many of the younger folks in the GLBT community have happily adopted the once-offensive label "queer." We accept ourselves for who and what we are, and wear it with pride. My slave is pretty queer and is enthusiastically slutty when the occasion arises, and I love her exactly as she is.

My definition of a doormat is someone that will do whatever they are told with the threat of being let go or abandoned if they don't obey. So they bow to the dom/me for fear of being alone. I think self esteem would be a big issue here.

Doormats are on sale at Wal-Mart.

A doormat gets walked over and people rub their dirty shoes on it. A person who takes crap because they think they should is a doormat.

Ok its not that hard i have read myany posts here and all the times i have heard subs write i a not a doormat in general talking with them it has nothing to do with them or wht they are or what they want its about how they are treated.. To say i am not a doormat only means they do not want to get walked on they want ot be acknoledged as that they do count and do have an opinion they are sub not slave a slave is a doormat but then again if you are a real Dom you would cherish them both with respect for what they are giving and offering you as a dom . So that is what is being talked about . the sub is offering you her all her body her mind her soul her everything and she just wants the dom to acknoledge that and treat her with the respect that she is due and she is due respect for all that is being offered ......

It's hard to tell what maxriboss is saying, but I think he is saying that slaves are doormats. Which is a ridiculous statement.

I'm not sure what he was trying to say, honestly. You don't have be kinky to be a doormat, you just have to lack self esteem.

However, there's one guy who gets called Mat at parties, because he loves having women walk on him. You'll often find him lying across the doorway at the entry, or womens toilets if it's at a club. But that's a different kind of doormat

I had a hard time deciphering it also, but I am hoping he was talking as if some people think this way and not him, I don't know, maybe I'm still confused..lol

a doormat has no self esteem even as a slave i know my place but also your Dom/me must know what you seek. a doormat wants nothing out of his or her submission

What a beautiful thing that would be. To have a slave that would be willing to accept what they get, and not expected to have one of their fantasies fulfilled every week. If there is a sign up sheat for that kind of slave, please, help me find it.

Going on that statement, a doormat, has nothing to to with self-esteem issues, it has to do with being able to accept into your very SOUL your fate and your day to day activities.
