I lost interest in the pro-ana thing because it is not how I like women to be, I like curves and women with curves, a bit of fat, that's ok, women and fat is a natural thing, but a woman that looks after herself, I have great admiration for, not the type of person who just thinks, ' I have got some fat, that's it, the end ' and resigns herself to going to seed so to speak, I have been with someone that did that, and it is not nice, especially when one does one's best to be of a good appearance to others. Anyone who makes the efforts to look after their form, is great with me.

I write to whoever I wish and will write about whatever I want, but I will respect another's thoughts, if they make me aware of those thoughts. For those that state no men to contact them, perhaps they don't care, but what they do in doing that, is cut off communication with a lot of people who are not the model that perhaps caused the blatant no men to be written. Others, those that write and send messages with a no men bar in place, are the kind that might have caused the problem in the first place, but there is no helping them, they just do as they please and in their selfish behaviour they taint people who might have thought otherwise to believe men on this site are twats. I am hoping those that post 'no men', are aware that not all men are the same, and not all men write with one hand in their lap.

Most of the girls I've talked to turned lesbian because they were attracted to women rather than men. I hear a lot about man-hating lesbians, but in my real-world experience they're pretty rare.

I have know a few man haters, but they never claimed that was why they identify as lesbian. They still claim it is because of sexual attraction. I couldn't tell you if this was true or not because I never got close enough to them to find out. I don't cultivate relationships with haters of any kind.

You *lost* interest in being "pro-anorexia," not because it's someone literally compulsively starving themselves to death, but because you'll allow that a little meat looks nice on a girl?

Okay, I guess I'm being too harsh, as it seems clear from some of the remarks here about appreciating someone else's anorexia, that some people don't actually know what anorexia is.

Anorexia is not someone being thin and fit. In anorexia, people are unable to control their compulsion. When the signs of their own bodies failing, due to malnutrition, set in, they still cannot force themselves to take nourishment. These signs begin long before the concentration camp appearance, when the endocrine system starts to fail, due to the starvation.

Anorexia is literally killing my 18 year old niece. Her IQ is 150, she was absolutely beautiful and full of life.

This bullshit about the whole pro-ana cult makes me ill, the websites devoted to young girls. Friends Of Ana.

AAkasha, I absolutely agree with you. Most lesbians would simply not reply to messages from men and the "NO MEN!" screamers exhibit obvious homophobia. I know a lot of lesbians don´t like men, but their dislike (which is often justified by the way men treat them, or have treated them in the past) is usually tempered by feminine restraint. Sometimes I contact a "NO MEN!" screamer, just to irk them. Whereas I don´t send messages to a profile that says something like "guys, thanks for the attention, but I am really not interested".

Eating disorders affect many people, female and male, some starve themselves, others eat themselves into oblivion, nevertheless, it is a disorder, and a very unhealthy one at that, definately not to be encouraged. Now maybe society and it's whims is to blame, maybe it is something else, but I see this apparent need for women to be of an ideal thinness to be some of the blame. These stick thin models that others have already said suffer problems due to their diet, like why does it seem society demands this, I don't, and I know no other that likes it, so where is the demand coming from ? Could it be if one is as society calls it fat, then the ideal is thin, as a complete black and white opposite, where does the healthy normal physique come in to play, or is it what someone is, is defined by what is seen in magazines ?

I do not even pretend to understand anorexia, all I can say, is stick thin is not my interest, the curves of a woman, the natural being is of my interest, women who live as the rest of us do, and accept their perfection as in the eye of the beholder, that is good enough.
