Well, i finally finsihed slave girl of Gor. This is my critique: I liked the plot and how all the characters came in and out of each others life. I was wondering all the way through the book why Alicia kept being mentioned, so wasnt surprised at all when she turned up on Gor and became Judy's Mistress. I could relate to the under-current that all women are slaves at heart, I guess the old saying "he that doth protest too much" comes to mind..for a lot of women *grin*. I could relate to the mental anquish of relaxing into a slavery that although you realise it makes you happiest and makes you feel like coming home to yourself, yet at the same time having to combat thoughts stemming from how our society has conditioned us to be some other way. I thought that was really cleverly expressed. It made me smile a lot reading about a world where men know who they are and arent afraid of themselves or their role in regards to women. I didnt really see it that they were more powerful but just that their role was different. I liked the end chapter, where her original Master reclaimed her because he loved her, yet at the same time being very definate that this did not change the Master/slave relationship. I think that would be very difficult for some men, to realise their Mastery is actually what is needed by their slaves and just because they love their slaves it doesnt mean they should be less of a man or a Master. well thats all i've got to say for now... just wanted to share. P.s. Background: Master and I don't live in a Gorean Relationship, yet many of the facets are the same and I could relate to.
