If you've looked into the long term effects, I hope you have access to hormone replacement therapy because castration has a wide range of health issues above and beyond the surgery itself. I understand that some men have a strong desire to be castrated. It's not my fetish, but I firmly believe everyone owns their own body and can do what they like with it. That being said, I think the only way to safely and sanely go about it is to get it done by trained medical professionals, and the best you can hope for there is getting a female surgeon. "Home surgery" in the context of a scene is undoubtedly possible but highly dangerous, and something men have died from.

You could probably do a mindfuck elastration scene if you wanted to play this out without any permanent damage.
