Remember that the goal is to loose Fat rather than weight. Instead of going by Total Body Weight, measure your body fat. After all, working out will gain muscle. Muscle growth is your friend and shouldn't be punished for being added as a negitive result for your totald body weight.

Weight is irrelivant. Loosing fat is the goal.

I have yet to see any one but Icy mention measurements not weight.

Check your measurements, while the scale will be off or diffrent week to week measurements will not. Measure your flabbiest or widest part of arms wides part of hips and widest part of tummy, this will be far far more accurate than weighing by weekly or how ever you choose to weigh

Well thanks for the support
So far I hit the gym six days a week
Strength train five of those days
Cardio for all six...blast out about six hundred calories in an hour on the elliptical.
Down six pounds.
Clothes are looking better, tummy muscles coming back and sugar cravings are gone.
And motivation is through the roof!
Along with my energy level.

Hey,

Try to go by how your clothes fit, rather than numbers on the scale. If you had a recent pregnancy (recent being within the last 20 years ) and you can actually get a whole thigh into your prepregnancy jeans, and you're only 5 feet tall , then 5 lbs off you will make those jeans comfy! (I'm 5'1")

Your body composition changes permanently when you have a kid, and you're going to have extra padding that mother nature gave you to protect the baby when you carried it. It's almost impossible to get rid of, unfortunately You might even get to a lower weight than you ever were, but your body shape almost certainly has changed, at least slightly in some places.

Also, if you do any work with weights, though you won't bulk up like the Hulk, you will build muscle mass which weighs more. You'll tone up and get smaller, but will weigh the same. That happened to me.

Sorry about that cholesterol number, though It probably runs in your family. I'll send you up a box of salt-water taffy from Cape May!

I have been working out for about a year now and diet changes for 9 months. I am down 50 lbs and still working. The things that have been the most helpful are simple but work great. 1- I have four pieces of fruit a day minum, fresh is best, but froozen is ok. 2- no white staches or carbs, brown rice, wheat bread and pasta etc. 3- WATER- lots and lots of it and no pop or juice. It has worked wonders for me.
