Ok.  First of all, I had told you that clip and I would have taken care of this had I have known.  Next time, you're going to tell Me when these things happen as they happen.

To answer your question, yes, there have been certain folks who I've encountered in My life who were the genuine article.  I don't base these things on Dominance or submission.  I think it has more to do with the spirit of humanity.

Sitting here today, I know who's been important to Me when I really needed them.  I value them higher than the casual acquaintance that I may have known for years.

Oooooooh lol you are so bossy! I like that! <laughs her ass off>

I actually went through the normal channels with trying to get help with my floor. I thought I would get some help because of my disability, but no dice. It's ok, if it doesn't get fixed, I just won't go into the kitchen anymore lol <Looks at Doll>

5 days til our slumber party! You ready?  <But don't go into the kitchen> lol

Yes it is. They want to send you retarded pictures, and have you dirty talk them with the threat of exposing them. To 'prevent' the blackmail they have to pay you... but I have serious doubts as to if they'd actually do it.

I'll bring Reggie with Me.  He's a good boy and not afraid to get his hands dirty.  Give us an idea of materials, and we'll scrounge them up.

I know you've already looked into some resources for help with your flooring problem but you might want to check on state funded grants for home repairs.

Texas has state organizations that will help with these kinds of repairs, as well as county and non profit organizations you can find online to apply for assistance.  The repairs are made for either a token payment or no payment at all, depending upon your resources.

The source of the funds are federal grants and programs that are dispersed via state and county governments, so I'm certain you'll have something similar available in your area.  The home repair programs are usually based on income, not specific disabilities.

Start with your county or parish, and find a contact for the federally funded assistance programs. They're often listed as programs for the elderly, even though the age requirements are usually 50 yrs of age, not 65.

A family friend of ours was living in a home with a roof half destroyed by wind and fallen trees.  This couple had, count 'em, 19 children.  All out of the house and on their own.  Some of the children had gone the wrong direction but most of them were educated, employed and fully capable of taking care of their parents.  When I called our area program director to apply for assistance on the couple's behalf they asked whether family could help with the repairs.  I answered that the children were perfectly capable of either making the repairs or paying for someone to make them, but that the children were allowing their parents to live in mold, mildew and rainwater for over a year so they obviously had no intention of helping resolve the issue.

Within two weeks the couple had a brand new roof, with repaired joists and all of the materials provided by the grant monies.  I believe they had to pay $142.00 so several of their friends all chipped in to pay the amount needed to get the repairs done.

They weren't disabled, they were on limited soc sec income, not even ssi income.

Federal dollars are federal dollars, they'll be available through some agency in your community that you haven't discovered yet.

Keep trying.

All the best,

TexasMaam

Not to take it even MORE off topic, but MsStarlett & sfdrew, hopefully both of you have heard about the femdom guild we started in November called "ladies first" - it's very large now, we have several 80s..our vent and guild chat are - well, quite interesting. And the subs DO serve the femdoms on it, both by helping on things and by providing kinky entertainment. it's 100% invite only so anything goes.  Drop me a line - both of you - if you want to come check us out!

Huzzah for safer floors!  It's not a large area, the materials shouldn't cost much... but it might be a two person job, so maybe wait for Reggie!  I know with jobs like that once you get started, you find more than you expected.  (and I don't just mean creeeepy crawlies!)

Saying `You have to pay me or I won't continue this conversation' isn't blackmail; saying `You have to pay me or I won't blackmail you' isn't blackmail, either: it's charging for a service.  At this point, the `sub' hasn't sent any incriminating material to the Domme: he's just asked if she'd be willing to blackmail him.

Since I'm still "new meat" on CM, from the male subs I've gotten nothing BUT the "I'll do anything for you" (often with a full laundry list of their "qualifications" and/or job skillz, etc.).  Not so surprising, the female subs usually know a much better, slower, realistic approach with intro emails.  I pretty much ignore the "lawmen" despite their persistence, offers of cash, blah blah.  But I don't have a kitchen floor to fix LOL.  As usual, your mileage may vary.

This creates a very odd image.  Whenever I see something you've written, there's your picture to the left of it so, in my mind's eye, you're `The lady in the boots and purple corset'.  Obviously, you wear other clothes, too.  Especially when you're repairing floors. But, just like if somebody says `London', you imagine Big Ben and a red bus or something, if somebody says `Lady Pact', imagine the lady in the boots and purple corset.  But now, the lady in boots and a purple corset is trying to bend down to repair a floor and muttering things like `floor before corset' and it's very silly.

Not to derail, Beeble, but the thing with the "blackmailers" is they never come through with the pictures, either!  I would never engage in blackmail, it's a FELONY for heaven's sake!  But wacky pictures that I script in advance?  Serious FUN on a winter evening.  So, shoot, they might as well practise doing something, eh?

I think that some service submissives are genuine, but asking for any major amount of money from someone you've never met yet is a bad idea. Even if they are genuine, though, a no-strings attached, purely service-oriented D/s relationship isn't something I want. I don't feel comfortable investing the kind of emotional connection I need in order to actually dominate someone (rather than just ordering him around, which might be feasible) if they aren't going to be my romantic partner.

You are absolutlly right about finding all kinds of problems. i receintly did a repair on a  slanted floor.  i had to crawl under the house (no basement) through thirty feet of mold, spiders and mud to jack up the house and replace seven rotted floor joists.  i had to do all this work in just two feet of space.

Well, that's a separate issue.  If you said, `Sure, I'll blackmail you -- send me the pics', and they didn't send you any, that would be calling their bluff.  (And it wouldn't be illegal, either, even if they did send you pics, since you wouldn't have made any threats.)

What do you think blackmail IS??? You threaten to expose the pics, email exchanges, etc. if they don't pay you. (Or give you what you want, which in this case can't really be anything more than money)

They never come through with anything. Merely sending someone pictures or even information about themselves or their families isn't being blackmailed. It's just sending them amusing pictures or whatever they send.

Question: would any judge seriously prosecute "blackmail" if it was done as a fantasy/fetish/roleplay which was sought out by the person being blackmailed? Seriously, has this ever happened?

It would be like trying to prosecute an attempted murder case if someone was into asphyxiation and their partner accidentally went too far.
