Status: offline 		The same thing in Palm Springs, Ca. The city loved the money from the Spring breakers but did not like the accidents caused by beautiful woman walking around in thong bikinis so Sunny Bono (Mayor at the time) banned thongs in public and kicked the spring breakers out.

Well not exactly.  In fact, you are perfectly legal tanning (or doing almost anything else) in the nude (1) in public areas so designated (i.e. "nude beaches") and (2) on private property with consent of the owner.  The latter might be modified if the private property exposure is designed to be seen by others in public (i.e. a street-level store-front window).  But if you walk around naked as the proverbial jaybird on your balcony in a crowded city in the USA, you will not be charged with "public nudity".

Just to clarify so the Aussies reading the thread don't think we are TOO backward.

MB loves bikers!  i adore bikers! the rumble as they pour down the streets tends to leave a tingling and moist trails ~winks~

MB has two biker weeks.  the harley davidson group, then black bike week.

before someone accuses me of being racist.  now, during both weekends, we get all sorts of visitors.  from professionals on 100,000 dollar bikes to the 18 year olds on a used kawasaki.   that year, it was the atlantic beach area that was destroyed, and where most of the problems came from.  i waitressed during both events, and we had many of the bikers hit where i worked.  both groups were fun loving and respectful, darn good tippers and looked out for us waitresses but not letting the drunks and trouble makers bother us.  most bring their families!

there was just one year when things got way out of hand.

Status: offline 		Last place the cops rousted me was not to far from you.  I broke down in Hilton Head, pulled off the side of the road to wrench on the bike, then had to call a shop for a lift to get repaired.  While I was waiting the Local Cops pulled up, apparently one of the residents called in that "The Hells Angels were camped out in front of thier street." 

Well I was traveling alone....

and I am an independent rider

The cops at least had a sense of humor about it and one of them said, by way of appology  "You know how crazy rich people are"

and you wonder why I drink so much mead....

These are many of the same reasons that the local Mardi Gras parade here was shut down.  The local police also over-reacted and used tear gas to break up large groups that were not being violent.

There has obviously been some mis understanding here.  This was in the middle of the night, we were the only car there. There was no intention for anyone to see anything and no one didn't. It wasn't a f*ck in front of on lookers type thing. When this one said "A car full of older folk pulled up and because she couldn't see behind her, he already had his pants up and zipped and this ones shorts were still around her ankle, her ass exposed for all to see. When she looked over and saw them...major blush, partial embarrassment, but... Oh my gosh the entire experience was amazing" 

Please note his pants were already up and zipped,(This was never intended for public view)  twinkles weren't and yes were around her ankle, she was embarrassed because people were coming, the statement "her ass exposed for all to see, and when she saw them, she blushed, and felt embarrassment is because she knew they would be coming. She pulled her shorts up quickly. We walked back toward them, they never saw anything but 2 people walking back to the car. They were barely getting from their own car at this time. He didn't do this to humiliate her, but spontaneously and out of the blue without her knowing it was coming attempt to remove that fear (which some may call a limit) and it worked. What was not mentioned in her previous post is that when she said older folk, she meant around 30-35 years of age. Which was older folk compared to our ages at that time.

Status: offline 		I think we are a little weird in this country about nudity. When I lived in Germany, people went nude on beaches and in swimming pools and public changing rooms were often co-ed. The first time we experienced this, was quite an experience. I don't usually swim, so I sat by the pool waiting for my mother to change, she came running out of the changing room, very surprised to have turned around to see a naked man in the shower washing his hair! lol Driving down the street past the beach, we would often see entire families-including the granny- trouping across the street butt naked carrying picnic baskets.

Having said that, because it is not allowed here, our children are not brought up with it and it would therefore be shocking to them. If i took my son to Germany, I would certainly have to prep him mentally ahead of time. I wouldn't really appreciate it being thrust upon him unexpected over here. And I certainly wouldn't want him exposed to sexual stuff, and slavery while out and about. I have seen that site "Public Disgrace"... I often wonder how they do that with chlidren and all sorts of other unconsenting people about.

What I have learned from discussions with Goreans is that what one does or doesn't do has nothing to do with Gorean, but is instead determined by whether the Man determines that He is Gorean based on beliefs and the type of Man He is. However, from what I have seen of Gorean I would have to say that public display like that is more likely to occur in the BDSM crowd. Also, I have a question, because there is something in the back of my mind where I think I recall that Goreans have something about honoring the laws of the land. Is this the case?
