ORIGINAL: Termyn8or True, but I don't quite get the point. If with the basic advantage that prosecutors and the court share these days, they can't convict them, what does that say about us ? Also their acquittal would not mean they would not be deported anyway because if they are foreigners taken under that circumstance, they are not likely to have valid visas. However some of them might have a valid cause of action in tort law, which if I am not mistaken would come under international tort law, that could be a problem. Maybe that's what part of the eighty million is for ? T I don't know if soldiers are much for gathering evidence in a war zone or not. I think not. If some of these guys end up going free they will likely be on the list for deportation. But then again if they are not found guilty that would give them a lot of grounds to file all sorts of lawsuits. And I think there are plenty of lawyers who would jump at the chance. I can picture situations where these guys are here in the U.S. and walking free. Very Trojan horseish. I say try them over there. Where is there? Not fucking here.
