LIMBAUGH: As the economy performs worse than expected, the deficit for the 2010 budget year beginning in October will worsen by $87 billion to $1.3 trillion. The deterioration reflects lower tax revenues and higher costs for bank failures, unemployment benefits and food stamps. But in the Oval Office of the White House none of this is a problem. This is the objective. The objective is unemployment. The objective is more food stamp benefits. The objective is more unemployment benefits. The objective is an expanding welfare state. And the objective is to take the nation’s wealth and return to it to the nation’s quote, “rightful owners.” Think reparations. Think forced reparations here if you want to understand what actually is going on.

He has no right to an opinion?

After all, it's not like he called the president a terrorist or anything. Not like he said he wished the president would die - nothing like that.

Honestly, I think it's rather amusing to see you so discomfited by one man's words.  Do you really feel so threatened by him?

If Obama is truly loved by the masses, pleasing the majority with his wondrous works, and leading this country into Utopia, what possible harm can one crack-pot, overweight, rabid, drug-abusing, extremist neo-con possibly do? 

Why... based on the vocal liberal posters here, the Republican party is falling apart and in its death throes anyway.  Who cares what one soon-to-be has been says?

Besides, last I checked, this country still has free speech. 

For the time being, anyway.

Edited to add, I really wouldn't trust 059's sources though, they're obviously very partisan far left websites. Those may or may not be Rush's words, there's no way to know.

Now I don't know if I'm left, right, liberal or not...I call 'em as I see 'em, so please don't say I'm this or that running somewhere. Or do, I don't care, but I didn't want to start any sort of bashing.

Every time I hear the word  "reparations" shouted it is by someone trying to start an argument about "blacks and reparations for slavery."  Limbaugh must be running out of material.

I'm afraid that the only thing "obvious" here is something else. Rush has stated, repeatedly, and somewhat amused (though not entirely surprised) to find it necessary, that his reason for saying that he hopes Obama fails is because he wants America to succeed.

Rush views Obama as a socialist. Accordingly, he characterizes governmental redistribution of wealth schemes as a form of forced reparations (so to speak) for the 'oppression' inflicted upon the 'proletariat' by their 'evil capitalist' overlords.
