You don't have to be submissive to enjoy pain or bondage. The aren't mutually exclusive terms.

Hi Kiki

I know a few subs who hate pain and of course take what they can for their masters. Their doms also give what they know they can take and suppress the harder play for the time in hopes of topping someone that can take it.

Sensualist is one that is deep into external sensation
in the BDSM world ..... wait...in my recent history in attempting ot communicate in the BDSM world ... I find those who wear the "idenity/title" of submisive that are just into thr sensation ..... they find no pleasure from serving.................

I know this is as clear as well stired mud ....................

I thought I understood it until you clarified.

I'm still in the definition stage, and considered myself mostly submissive. What I really like is pleasing women. So I'm in it for the sensation, but its their sensation.

I did find that a lot of fem-subs like to be serviced orally (one of the great revelations of our times), so I switched my profile to a switch. (If you'll excuse the expression.)

Maybe sweetpleaser and I are a separate category: pleasers?

Any suggestions would be welcome.

As much as I dont like titles...I believe we are who we are, period. Here is my two cents anyway :)
I am submissive...have always been my nature. I am Dominant in other areas, work and my children. I do believe it's possible for me to be a slave in the right relationship.
My question is...slaves give up all of their rights.....does that fall into the vanilla world as well? Or are there circumstances where the Master allows..ok, after typing that "allows" I know he still has control over her in all facets of her life.
un dont mind me...Im talking to myself lol

IMO....a sub who is into sensual play but not into serving is not a sub but a bottom <there are those titles again>. D/s to me is mental...BDSM is physical. If a submissive doesnt get pleasure from serving...how are they considered a submissive?
As for sensuality...arent we all sensual beings? I'm not saying there arent submissives who only desire sensual play but they do get pleasure from serving their Dom/me, I dont understand how a submissive "doesn't get pleasure from serving".

This girl would say she is none of the above...smiles. Clarification, she thinks that the term slave is heated and a misnomer of sorts in reality. In her own house the term "servant" is used.
By nature i am not a submissive person at all, nor have i ever felt the need to be controlled by anyone or micromanaged, as many presume the driving force behind slavery as seen in the responses previous to Your post. However, as a consenting and intelligent woman, i have chosen to enter into an arranged servitude, by which i have no day to day consensualities. In a traditional scening D/s sense a submissive always has the option to say no. In my own house this option no longer exists if one is to remain in servitude, if one says no...the servitude ends. And in my own house servitude is not slavery in that completel control is exercised over a girl. Instead we are taught to act as extensions of Our Master's will so that He may accomplish more and easier and more effectively. Ideally, if this girl has to be told to do anything then she was not performing her duty, she should sense needs and voids and simply fill them. In these ways my Owner is much more my God or my King, then my Slave Master in a Victorian or other sense...and i am more of a priest, or knight with a pledged servitude.

just her two cents, others mileage may vary

Labels tend to pigeon-hole us into a strictly defined slot. That is why I do not care for them very much. Many in this lifestyle seems to cater to the gazillion labels that are out there. Many of those labels, I feel, are not flattering in the least. Some are blatantly negative. But what else can we use to describe ourselves? That is tough because all of us fall into several categories since we are all multi-faceted people. A label brings us back into being slotted in a singular definition.

I myself never was thrilled with associating myself as a sadist. Just the term alone creates immediate visions of a cruel uncaring person bent on the suffering and/or destruction of another. Granted I enjoy inflicting pain on a consenting partner for our mutual pleasure BUT that is not all I am. I also have compassion, and concern for others, yet to find what we want must we always resort to using such terms?

The same goes for slave. To some out there I believe it carries a romantic connotation. Some of the labels have become so watered down that they can only be defined by the person bearing/applying it. For instance, I have heard to often, “I am a slave to my Master but a submissive to others”...I feel that to be a contradiction.

So what I have come to try to do is just find compatibility and steer away from using any of those terms as much as possible, sometimes without
success.
