MoonLightGoddess -> Pet Play: Tails, Paws, and other useful items..where to find them? (2/13/2006 5:01:22 PM)

I have been searching for a while now for sites that sell tails(preferably plugs), paws, and other items associated with pet play. I can't really find anything more than the simplest and unattractive gear unless it's pony play related.

Where do kitty girls and their Masters go to shop online? Most general BDSM online sites don't seem to carry these things.

As we learned in Econ 101: The demand is low (especially in relation to demand for other types of fetish goodies) so why should artisians make products that will just sit and collect dust.

In addition, many people who do puppy, kitten and other pet play don't want their pet looking like every other pet around so they get custom gear.

We've recently had a run on requests for kitten gear: belled collars, tails, ears, masks with whiskers etc.

I don't know if you have seen it but there is a post in the sought/for sale section where there are some puppy hoods/booties/mittens for sale http://www.collarchat.com/m_237062/tm.htm

I don't know if the ones they show will be any good to you but they seem to be a company so they may be able to source, or indeed make themselves, some items that you find appealing

Otherwise you could probably make another post in the sought/for sale section asking if there is anyone out there selling what you are looking for

hope this helps

One of my friends is making custom pet play accessories like face masks, paws etc. She is usually taking only Czech orders, since she does not speak any other language, but maybe I could help. If you have something concrete in mind, PM me.

Just one detail: No real leather items, most of it is usually fake fur or such material. Very nice for kitty girls though.

I always have to make mine from scratch which isnt a bad thing ...it means you get just what you want .....if you really are not at all crafty, try a dance costume supplier they have better kitten stuff than just Halloween gear ...

It's about time that nekomimi's, catgirls, and kittyplayers get things to play in! [:)]

I bought a fox tail at an anime convention, though it's not a plug. Ears, too, but I'd like nice ones that look decent (not showing plastic) and clip onto my hair. Back paws would be a bonus, but I'd love front paws. Paws = good to play with things! [&:]

I have a couple of links that have one or two "pet" items on them. You might like the plugs at huse.

You might also look into "furry" resources. Sometimes they have plug tails, though more often not, but you could possibly find accessories and paws and the like. A lot of this stuff is comission based, but you can find compitent artisans for decent prices out there, and frequently things are auctioned off on furbid.

I noticed mention of EatLeather and their dogface hoods earlier in the thread. A while back, I had them custom make a fox face hood for me. They really did an excellent job, and were always prompt in keeping me updated on the progress of my hood. Excellent customer service indeed. Not that this is all that helpful in finding other gear, just felt it was worth mentioning.

i have always like JT's Stockroom in California for props and such. The quality is outstanding. They pack things discreetly (is that spelled correctly?) and I know they have had butt plug tails in the past. They have wonderful leatherwork and their products stand up to ALL kinds of abuse. I cherish the collars I have been given which came from JT's. They are well worth whatever you pay, and besides....they have enclosed a tootsie roll pop with each of my orders.
have fun, and be safe.

I'm surprised Slipstreme hasn't commented on this yet. The furry scene in the UK is very gay orientated, so getting neko/inushounen dress stuff is pretty easy (mainly, it's giving a fellow furry £10 for materials and your desired species.

next cat tail I'll make will be based on an inflateable buttplug, with an 8 coil helix of wire built aroung the hose, and then a black fur covering, with a white tip covering the squeezebulb. Hopefully this will give a nice poseable kitty tail, with a fun little twist for our shoujoneko

Thanks for tossing out the Furry resources. Looking up anything online under "Furry" or "fursuit" will get you a LOT of links. I have about 45 links myself to fursuit makers that sell full suits or partials, usually to order, for fairly reasonable prices. These folks are a really the way to go. Lots of talent in the creative fields. I don't often see the plug-types, but there are some.

If you are ever on Livejournal, there are hundreds of fursuiting communities there that post new creations on a regular basis. If you are seriously into animal roleplay, find a local Furry convention, they are everywhere these days and run almost every week of the year somewhere in the country. Not only are the vendor areas a dream-come-true, but if you see a suit or paw set that amuses you, you can always ask about the builder. People that love their costumes also love to talk about the people who make them. Don't be bashful about asking a builder in the furry community about suits or suit parts that are *ahem* "appropriate for certain types of play." They get it. Some are very young, but it's only a rare few who are in the dark about how we REALLY like to play.

Here's some to start with. (Look for links for commissions, partials, or fursuits)

http://whitewolf.denofwolves.com/index.html
http://midori.furry-tales.com/commission.php

If you are a bit creative at all, those sites have a lot of links for constructing your own as well as places to buy fur. I have more links for construction techniques if you are interested. Just let me know.

Actually I'm rather new to furry as well, at least in practicing. The problem with going through furry resources is that for the most part, if you commission anything from someone, it would most likely be a fursuit. If you are looking for hoods, tails, harnesses and mitts and such that are leather made specifically for BDSM, the furry resources are rather limited. Growing, but still limited, as many fursuit designers only do fursuits, plush ears and tails, rather than leather or latex work. For the most part people who make animal play items typically aren't fursuit designers. Also, going with a designer will require a lot of money, a rare commodity for a college student such as myself. Thus, I've decided to build my own stuff, including my fursuits.

Also please note most fursuits are not made for fetish. Some are, don't get me wrong, there is fursuit "yiff" out there. However, many fursuiters have no interest in doing sexual things with their suits. (A lot do, I am one of them, although keeping a fursuit clean can be a problem.) Also many suits are made with the tail attachable to a belt or on the suit itself, depending on the designer. Fursuits often have a foam rubber inside making them very hot and unwieldy, and often time undesireable for heavy physical action of any real considerable length of time. Commissions are typically upwards of around 1000 dollars. (Again, I will be making my own suits.)

Also most fursuits depict a character that someone plays, and are therefore very custom made. Whereas many animal play type suits are made for general play purposes and not designed for a character. Hence another hardship. Many fursuit designers are furry artists who prefer doing the custom work for a character rather than mass produce a single design. Some people who do also do BDSM pet play work are swamped for business and not looking at this time, which depends on the quality of the work and the demand for it.

I have had my own difficulties in locating pet play gear, and again, have decided to craft my own. My play partner too has decided to build his own.

It is quite interesting to recognize people by their suits though, on the artist's page. Should go check out my friend Avoj over on Jax the Bat's site. He is one cute fox. <3

Now I have responded :P

holy moly *eyes go big*

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, as I have the same problem. Finding kitty play stuff takes a bit of digging, which is too bad really, I'm sure there's a bunch of us out here somewhere ;)

Some very intersting links, thanks to the Op and the comenters... i looked through a lot of them, and as much as we might like to expand puppy play times more.. jeeze, ill have to  try and make my own additional gear.. the prices for some of this stuff... could esaly add to our general use bags a good deal for what kitting out for puppy play alone would cost. .. all the same cool links and some intersting ideas for sure. wish this stuff didnt cost so much though.

Kirei -> RE: Pet Play: Tails, Paws, and other useful items..where to find them? (4/27/2006 9:17:21 PM)

I just learned to make my own stuff(being an artist), and got help from friends to modify stuff to make better kitty play equipment.  But for any type of good floor play you need mitts, and knee pads....unless you have very soft carpeting.  If you want good animal play stuff you usually have to custom order it from someone willing to make it.

Taik -> RE: Pet Play: Tails, Paws, and other useful items..where to find them? (4/28/2006 1:40:08 AM)

We found ears and a tail in a holloween costum set that were exactly what we wanted and came up with our own way to attach it to the plug.  This also allows you to choose the plug shape and size, so you know it will work for you.

Additionally we struggled with mittens too, but eventually found some lovely childrens slippers shaped like kitten paws, that hands fit in quite well.

My suggestion is be creative with your idea's and you maybe more pleased with the results.
