There are many good ideas here. Here are, I think, a few more.

As you probably have a computer if you are reading this, have a file in "My Documents" that even the most computer non-savy homocide cop can read. I put a diary about whom I'm seeing, where, and how to "question" them if a homicide detective ends up reading you computer.

I also mail myself a letter. If I get it, no harm. If Barney Fife missed the computer message, a hard copy is in there.

Although it may be hard depending on how "out" you are. Always tell someone. Preferably everything although you might not want to tell your Mother you hope to be tied up and beaten. (Tell someone else then and lie to your mother about the details. [We both like knitting, Ma.)

I know this is all to help the investigators after you are killed by a vicious predator.

Perhaps the best way to deal with a vicious predator is to avoid him/her. Getting to know him (and I don't mean cyber), FBI led background checks, etc. At least "Google" all the permutation of the name(s). (I.E. "Fred Smith", "Fred Smith" + Cleveland, "Francis Smith", "SuperDom", "Super Dom", "super dom", etc.)

Excellent ideas Iwillserveu, Don't mind if I steal them for my people do you?
I preach safe calls but I think your ideas they would be happier with.

Of course feel free to use them. I only charge $100 per use, but since I use only confederate money...

You do realize those are only useful after your dead, right? Most nuts don't give a fig about deterrence. ("You'll never get away with this!" is not something you ever want to say. {I think, well to each his own. })

There are many good ideas on this board for prevention.

iwillserveyou,

Great ideas. Worthwhile advice indeed. Mind if I add these to the "First Meeting Guidelines" post?

Thanks
Terry

As a writer of fiction, I of course steal things from reality to weave my little stories into exciting reads (or at least that's the goal). I had an interesting idea for a story recently that involves something that is also helpful, in case you come up missing in action - which I hope never happens.

If you use Yahoo! Messenger, there is an archive feature. I think ICQ also has this. It keeps a log of all of your messages, pms, etc. Not only is it fun to go back and re-read, but if it is accessed, you can find all sorts of information. This is especially true about setting up meetings, times, places, etc. If you do it through that medium, you have a record.

I don't know how many police officers know about this feature, and granted you have to know the password to get in it. However, if you have a person you can trust with your password who would notice if you went missing, there is a clear description of who you talked with, about when, and whom. I have a son over 20 years of age, and he knows how to access this in an emergency. He is aware enough of his Mom's kink to know what to do if something goes wrong. God help the person who hurts me if he finds him...grins.

Hey, it's not bad for proving what someone said, either.

It might help to tell you how to access the Message Archive on Messenger. Click on "Tools" and go to "Message Archive". When you click it, you can open up the preferences, and set the length of time you want the messages to be available. I have mine set for 365 days.

Enjoy.

Slavemaster kept his victims alive for months before killing them. In a day or two if you're at all loved in the world someone would come looking for you. Missing person case. If the police are doing their job...you're not dead yet.
