Hello! From all the information and opinions I realize that breaking of a slave may have not been the right termanology. I guess it would be motivation and conversion and condtioning through behavior modification. Mistress trained me by reinforcement of good behaviors and punishment if I commited an offensive offence. She also conditioned me and my responces. If I did something horrid I was put on the St. Andrews cross. I was made to stand there until my arms ached. I then would be whiped or spanked. as this was done Mistress would say, these behaviors are not acdeptable, I expect more from you, You will not do______ again. She would carry this trough until I was crying or sobbing uncontrollably and then was forced to repeat what she had said exactly. She would also stop and pet me. and play with my teticles when I had them. she mixed pain and pleasure and at times I was overloaded. After having had these expereinces i would change these behaviors Immediatly. there was part of me that was afraid of hearing that I was due a Punishmnet session. We did have play sessions but the punishment sessions where a great way to recondition my Ill mannered behaviors. what is intesteing to all of this is I loved her more and more each day. I learned and very rarely got caught or repeated the behavior again. This is what I meant by "breaking" thankyou 2BeMarriedNOwned

Exploing the terminology further: are you looking to create or destroy? Most people can relate to the creation of something new rather than the destruction of something old - although there are those who say you can't have one without the other.

Don't worry about it too much, this is an international forum and there will always be the occassional misunderstanding from that as well as from people just using terminology in a diffrent way. What you described there is to me not breaking at all. Breaking has far more negative conotations which is probably why people reacted strongly to it. No Dom/me that I respect (Points to the "That I respect" bit before LA jumps on me for making a sweeping statement.... on the other hand, LA jumping on me might be kinda fun[;)]) would do what I consider 'breaking' to a sub. To me that is just 'training'... molding them, teaching them how to behave in ways more suitable and more pleaseing to their master/mistress. It doesn't break what is already there, it simply builds on it. Have fun and hope your search goes well.
