i admit, i've been a vegetarian almost 10 years and you know what i miss? barbecued ribs and beef jerky. -- well there's Vegan Dream jerky which is AMAZING stuff and totally takes care of my jerky craving, but you have to order it online. =p barbecue ribs, though, have no substitute.

maaaaaaaaaaaaaan... i miss those things! i grew up in a meat, meat, and more meat family, but i've been able to move beyond everything else (besides the occasional fish if i'm not eating right or if i'm too broke for veggie meat replacers), but barbecue ribs remain the bain of my existence... =p

I admit that I went grocery shopping this afternoon & bought nothing but fruits, veggies & ingredients for Weight Watcher recipes.

I admit there was NO MEAT on the list.
I admit I haz a sad for "freshly killed" anything[&o]

I've been a vegetarian for 2 weeks now & don't really miss the meat. But I'd do a Thanksgiving spread for others, yes I would.

Hmmmm...wonder if I'd be able to stomach the smell of the meat cooking???

The smell of meat cooking doesn't bother me.  Honestly sometimes it smells so farkin' good I want some!  But then I remember why I became a vegetarian in the 1st place.  Tho quite honestly I'm seriously considering incorporating poultry/fish in my diet again.  Only because I eat so poorly & I know that my body can use the extra nutritional value.  But then I feel guily and veto that idea.[&o]

LillyBoPeep -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/10/2011 1:17:39 PM)

i admit, the smell of meat cooking bothers me now because a lot of it smells rancid, even if it came fresh from the store and is free of brown spots. one of my relatives married a man from africa, and he isn't a vegetarian but he thinks most of the meat here in the US smells spoiled, too.

Charnegui -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/10/2011 1:32:44 PM)

I admit, I am very picky and aware of meat and fish dishes... I do not eat meat or fish more than 4 days par week. And I'm content with it. It is not that I am a pure vegetarian, but I'm aware of what I eat.

I admit, it is a step into direction of becoming vegetarian.

I admit, for me it has everything to do with animalcruelty. For years I do not eat things out of principles. But I will not anyone push into it. I'll explain and hope they'll understand.

I admit...all that vegetarian talk a few days ago had me thinking, and I have eaten vegan for three days now. (The first three days are the hardest!) The longest I've ever gone is 9 months. We'll see...

GreedyTop -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/10/2011 1:37:29 PM)

I've been a vegetarian for...oh boy,...15 years? I don't even remember. But...I still love the smell of meat cooking. Doesn't bother me at all - makes my mouth water, actually. Call me crazy, but I think it smells good, even though I won't eat it.

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/10/2011 2:57:11 PM)

I admit I got a teensy chill of fear when I saw VAA had viewed my profile.

It was like being at school again!

I admit my dad was just diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

I admit this scares me greatly.

And the next post too Greedy.

I admit I need real glasses but use the dollar store ones and I'm fine with them.  Not the greatest solution but they work.  Just bring a book or something to check what strength you need.  I've gone from 3.75 when my blood sugar was out of control, and I'm back down to 1 or 1.25

What parts are you visiting?

As promised earlier, you too..... *huggss MissPotty*

I admit, Greeds any wellment attempt will be appreciated and I will eat (some) of it!!! *hazabigsmilenow*

I make a fabulous turkey dinner with all the trimmings & it doesn't need to be Thanksgiving or Christmas for me to do that. I like to start with a fresh turkey, just killed if possible. It makes all the difference in the world!! And my side dishes are to die for! You will not go hungry when you come to Chicagoland, my dear!!!

Taking a visit to Chicago for all of this and the macaroni salad...will bring my baked goods!

I admit for the last 2 months, I've only been eating  oganic chicken, turkey and fish. I'm not dieting per se, but I am eating differently and moving. I don't get to eat my baked goods yet and that's okay. As for vegetables, I'll eat any vegetable!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/11/2011 2:32:31 AM)

I admit I went to bed early. MISTAKE. I have been wide awake, though still physically tired, for two hours. Gah! If I were a right thi king person I would just get up. Hahahhahaaa!! Yeah. Trying for a little more shuteye...

VirginPotty -> RE: I Admit It I........ (10/11/2011 6:55:36 AM)

I admit that last night after the gym for dinner I had egg whites w/green peppers, mushrooms & jalapeno~ peppers.  Yummmmm, who needs meat?????[:D]

I admit that I'm enjoying the challenge of establishing trust w/my 2 new foster kittens, Julie & Jammer.  They both were pretty receptive to "forced love" last night, pets, belly rubs, being picked up.
I admit that I even rec'd some kitten kisses which are the best next to puppy kisses![8D]
