It's still sock time, Fluffy! I have piles of yarn for them.

Tomorrow it's supposed to be 75, then autumn kicks in for real. Fooey. This transitional time always bums me out, and I never know what to wear.

Culare, do you remember the original series with Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman? The CW has restarted the series this fall. It will be interesting to see what they do.

I didn't think much of Perlman back then. He has one ugly mug. But since then he has grown on me, and I quite enjoy the variety of work he does.

But then again, I am a sucker for talllllllllllll men.

My Mom loved that show. I could never get into it, which is actually kind of odd given that I adore shows like Warehouse 13, Eureka, Dr. Who. Perhaps it was the setting, rather than the story... *shrug*

ETA: my current Netflix addiction is a Canadian show called Slings and Arrows. Sadly, I am approaching the end of the series. *sigh*

Paul Gross is so yummy!!!

You might enjoy his first series, Due South, where he plays a Canadian Mountie, in full red serge, stationed down in Chicago. I also have a couple of their soundtracks. Fab music.

I admit I got disturbing news last night. One of my best friends (my evil twin from my touring days) is in hospital in Seattle. He was driving a tour bus (not sure which tour) when he started having trouble breathing. The initial xrays showed masses on his lungs, colon, and (I thinki?) stomach. Biopsies have not yet been done.

I am begging for prayers, here. I love Donnie to pieces, and I want him to be OK, for the sake of his wife, adopted kids, and me.

fuck me. this news is just sinking in. I'm gonna go cry now.

thanks. I still haven't heard anything about the biopsies, but there IS a 3 hr difference. I'll be leaving the ringer on my phone on until I hear.
