ORIGINAL: jlf1961 I admit, I have to ask, why did Peppermint move to Montana if her no like snow, lots of snow, a whole lot of lots of snow? I admit that snowshoeing is easier than skiing, as I have never broken a bone on snowshoes, where as I have on skis, five to be exact. I have to admit it, I fell in love. Met him at a kinky event. We got along well. Kept in touch and 6 months later I quit my job and moved to his motor home, which at that time was in Arizona. Been a snowbird until this year. His health is getting delicate and I wanted him to stay near family. They have told me that this year is an unusual one when it comes to snow. There has been much more than usual. We'll see about next year. I have to admit, if 15 years ago I had been asked what state I would never live in, I probably would have said Montana. There are cowboys here. There are cows here, lots of cows. I live surrounded by horses. I'm a city girl, but have learned to catch the neighbors' horses when they get loose. I have learned that I can shoot a critter if it threatens my animals. (except for the great horned owl that was outside roosting on my dead goose. Have to admit, I did think about it for a minute or two or three). It sounds to me as if skis are as dangerous as horses and cows. I promise to never ever get on a pair of skis. By the way, my very bestest friend is 76. A couple years ago her doctor told her it was time to hang up the snowboard as the chance of breaking something was so high and you don't heal as fast, even if you are a very active 74.
