Studies show that those without a support system die younger and have lower survival rates from cancer. Lower odds of beating addictions, etc.. After all, what is a 12 step program but a support system?

I admit that I sometimes read this thread because I enjoy seeing how people provide support for each other in good and bad times.

I admit that even though I don't really post here much myself, I do keep posters' struggles in mind each evening when I say my own prayers.

Although I thought your last line was very appropriate in referring to the member in question, your biology terms need a little work. First there are chickens. Under a year old the females are pullets and the males are cockerels. After a year old, which your pic certainly is by now, the cockerels are properly referred to as roosters and the pullets are now called hens. That being said, I do agree. Chicken" is the term that is used for the general species as a whole. A hen is a female chicken. And as a side note, a young female chicken is called a pullet. A rooster is a male chicken. As a side note for this, a young male chicken is called a cockerel.
Like the term "chicken" that covers both genders, you can use the term "chick" for baby chickens of either gender.

As for your other inquiry, it's been 4 days. Far too long ago, i agree.
