Greetings Master Tim, This girl definitely understands the attraction of deciding to do it. Particularly as the economy continues to tank, the thought of being self sufficient and getting off the grid is something that often goes through this girl's mind. She craves land and the space to plant vegetables and fruit trees. At present she fills that urge in part by helping on a farm, but it isn't the same. Though she's always instinctively run to the woods, streams, or oceans like old friends when her mind needed calming, for some reason, the older she gets, the more she seems to want to be surrounded by nature. Though she's pretty sure she couldn't go quite so cold turkey as you did- it sounds daunting to say the least, but an amazing adventure too! *Shudders* "up to 40 degrees" ? And she's assuming that's not Celsius either... But one never knows what one can do until one tries. It's funny that some of the hardest things one does- things one at times even hated while doing them- become things one looks back on with pride and a sense of accomplishment and almost fondness. It sounds like you've built yourself a hard-won patch of heaven up there. It must be wildly beautiful and peaceful and well worth the blood, sweat and tears poured into it. Well wishes to you (and all accompanying furry friends *smiles* ), anna
